Lol, it's a very stupid comment from #Mozilla. Firstly, Apple doesn't force them to create a separate browser version for the EU; they can have one version of the good old restricted #Firefox. Secondly, you cannot ask the EU to change laws and rules in other countries around the globe.
If Apple is not happy about allowing full versions of browsers for iOS, they are pretty stupid. The lack of normal browsers is a major flaw for the iPad Pro right now. It also opens the path for Electron apps to iOS, which could bring a big push for the entire operating system.
@BeAware. I have tried playing without a subscription, and it's a slightly different experience compared to single-player games. First of all, you don't have saves, so you cannot replay quests if you did them wrong or want to check "what if...?" Secondly, I found a village, but all NPCs were killed by someone.
Let's do a Saturday #Starfield thread. Looks like a lot of people are upset about this picture, because what could be innovative in "#Fallout in space" is "it's like a generic #Bethesda RPG but in space". This is true and untrue, let me explain. I'm not trying to change your mind about this game, it's just my explanation of why a lot of people spend a lot of time playing it, and what's innovative about it. #Starfield#Steam#Xbox#XboxSeriesX#Gamepass
It's "#Fallout in space" because you can play it like Fallout - just fast travel between locations, doing quests for all the factions, killing all the enemies on all the different ships and bases, selling items, crafting items, developing skills. Some people like it, some people don't, it's fine. You can play #Starfield that way, that's fine too, but you're probably missing about 40% of the gameplay. #Steam#Xbox#XboxSeriesX#Gamepass
But leaving #Fallout and classic #Bethesda RPGs aside, I want to try and explain a part of the game that a lot of people haven't even noticed. Bethesda told us that about 13 million people are playing #Starfield, from indirect data I guess it splits 5 million #Steam, 8 million #Xbox ecosystem. As you can see with 108h, I'm in the 15% of players in the Xbox ecosystem. This means that about 1.2 million players played more than 100h. Even without Steam it's a huge number. #XboxSeriesX#Gamepass
To be honest, I wasn't too excited about #Starfield before its big reveal, but one thing caught my eye - there are several threads on #Steam and #Reddit where people are sharing book recommendations, and most of those books are from my all-time favourite list. There are also recommendations for movies and TV shows, but that's a common thing for games, but I've never seen anyone ask for a book recommendation for a game. #Xbox#XboxSeriesX#Gamepass
So the simple answer to the question "Why do people spend so much time in this game?” - #Starfield allows you to live inside a sci-fi book, and it's a very realistic sci-fi book. #Bethesda paid a lot of attention to detail. When you read a sci-fi book, you always imagine what it would be like: getting on your own spaceship, sitting in the captain's chair, taking off. How big is the spaceship? What is the weather like on the planet? And #Starfield gives you the answers to all these questions.
My personal GOTY is undoubtedly #Starfield. There are not many games out there that can hold my attention for 100 hours straight. Almost all of those hours were spent in September. I would have probably spent more hours than that, but I got a new project to manage at work and started playing it. I'll return to the game after a while, hopefully soon, when #Bethesda implements FRS3 and mod support. #xbox#xboxseriesx#xboxgamepass#gaming#gamepass#gamepassultimate
@cbrines@nfl I'm afraid I could do a series of pictures from last year's playoffs when the referees called in favour of KC and one of the pictures would be from the final minutes of the SuperBowl. So maybe they should spend more time training and less time acting in StateFarm commercials.
Let me say it out loud - almost all of the NFL's special games this year (International, Thanksgiving, Black Friday) are pretty shitty. #nfl#NFLonMastodon#nflfootball
