I don’t know what this will be like exactly. But because @mike is the fellow who’s also brought nomadic identity to the Fediverse, I suspect this will be a big deal.
Don't hide behind the algorithm and the protocol when people aren't being treated well. Conway's Law exposes that the algorithm and protocol are a product of the people, communications, and intentions that built them.
If people are telling us they don't feel welcome here, then we need to listen and be open to changing that. If we don't, how can we claim the tech behind our social media is worthy?
I actually don't want to know about someone's religion, color or sexual orientation. If you're kind to me , I'll be the same ! You might be a Muslim and the worst human being at the same time (at that point you might not even remain a Muslim !), You might be from the Black Community, but have racist thoughts towards other colors.
These doesn't really matter. If you wanna fight against #racism, fight against #racism. Not just against white supremecy. There are also people who believes in Black Supremecy!
If we want a peaceful and friendly environment we have to remove #racism altogether. This is not something impossible. There are many examples where people of different religions are living together peacefully without any conflict for years. Take a look at Morocco !

It is the product of exploitative capitalist long-termers who will sell your next community as rapidly and disdainfully as they did your last one, because THEIR INTEREST IN COMMUNITY IS IN EXTRACTING ITS VALUE.
