@ondrejsevcik @Vivaldi It uses the Chromium engine. Vivaldi isn't very privacy friendly by default. You have to harden it.

    I am contemplating the idea of starting a instance. I thought if it in the past, but it seemed so cumbersome that I gave up. Mastodon felt easier and since I started to use containers (k8s), it is even better - a breeze to upgrade.

    Has things change? Has Pixelfed became easier to deploy and admin?

    @francis I think Pixelfed is a lot easier to deploy and maintain than Mastodon at this moment.

    I questioned about a rule (Whether anything against Bill Gets or Pfizer can be posted, although I'm not an anti-Vax) and then tried to move the account back to Mastodon (It was not working, I tried several times) .

    F-Droid Basic just got released for the first time. Built from the same code as regular @fdroidorg, it comes with a reduced feature set (no nearby share and no panic feature). Also it targets Android 13 and will soon be able to do unattended updates.
