If you read my weekend blog post, you know that I've been pointing out that the predicate crime in the Trump trial is not clear.

So the EU is telling Meta to give away Facebook without making money. If Facebook is so vital, maybe the same rule should be made for newspapers, eh? Senseless.

@jeffjarvis targeted ads get much higher return than contextual ads, so essentially yes. EU seems to have demanded Meta give a free option without targeted ads, basically demanding Meta collect much lower revenue per user. I’m not sure why anyone expects Meta to just roll over and accept that.

@GottaLaff ugh. I feel for you. A few weeks ago my fiber internet was out for nearly five days after nearby house construction put a backhoe through the neighborhood fiber bundle, then they bulk-cancelled the trouble tickets as the tech worked to fix them in bulk but then missed my connection.

    @GottaLaff NFL it surprises me that NY selects jurors and alternates explicitly separate; at least in WA AFAICT they’re all one big panel until randomly selected into a final jury after closing arguments.

    People are ragging on this but I think it's a great idea. My kids are paralyzed by the vast choice of what's available, and would often prefer to just sit and watch whatever someone else picked, even if it's already half over.

    There's a great plugin for Plex that lets you create virtual channels from playlists, but the problem is that it doesn't work if you ALSO use Plex for antenna/DVR purposes.

    @rodhilton a curated channel is really an awesome idea, particularly if it includes a wide array of stuff the kids may not have seen. And there’s always the option then to watch something from the beginning if you came in partway and enjoyed it, unlike in cable.

    I know a lot of people are like “oh hey, look, we’ve invented cable TV!” But under this system, I get a say in what bloodsucking corporations I pay money to. And that can exclude Comcast and Fox.
