alright i have sorta given up on selling this fuckin motorcycle that i have bc i never managed to ~ get a title for it ~ or ~ get it registered ~ because ~ i'll be fucked if i am going to do paperwork ever or go to the DMV ~, but it's still just sorta sitting out there taunting me. since i can't drive it around illegally in cop city USA, what the most fun thing you can do with the cutest motorcycle you have ever seen. I sort of want to try and build it into a gokart trike so i can lie about the engine displacement and say it's a chainsaw motor and get away with riding it without a title, but if anyone else has any ideas (or wants this thing) hmu.

@elduvelle @laurentperrinet c'est vrai, mais si tu fais des sciences sans faire de maths c'est comme si tu fais maçonnerie sans truelle. Et d'autre part on voit aussi le décrochage sur l'accès aux formations supérieures en sciences... si ce décrochage n'était pas là ça serait moins embêtant

Imagine being so teeny tiny that you are an endoparasite on leafhoppers

Leafhoppers are already in the "so small they go unnoticed" category, and you're just a little pest on a minuscule thing.

Of course the group that's most likely to choose this life? The wasps.

Wasps are some of the smallest insects. There are "fairy flies" that are parasites of the eggs of certain insects.

They are so small that air is "thick" to them and their wings have feathered edges are are oar shaped.

@NicoleCRust I never really appreciated Twitter, never really found it engaging, so I left and I have lived happily on Bluesky and Mastodon ever since. Yes some people I like are missing here, but that's ok because I never considered social media to be the place to disseminate science, it's more recreational to me. Actually I'm getting a little sick of X conversations on Bluesky or Mastodon. I couldn't care less what happens there, what Musk said or did, whether people stay or not... Let it go.
