This may be a clearly written, interview based article explaining how the Orange One will use the US Army on American soil to build detention camps, prosecute anyone opposing him and deport millions who have nowhere to go to. The front page may be the exact same colors as the one with Hitler on it.

But it's still a Time cover shot, the article a 26 minute read, and a lot of confused people will still oppose Biden's reelection on misunderstood arguments.

And so he wins.

Interesting. I've never had much motivation to learn more languages than my native Finnish, fluent English and some rudimentary Swedish, but it's true a grasp of a language gives a perspective to a culture otherwise out of reach.

This is an extremely based piece on generative LLMs from @molly0xfff. Really, my only issue with it is that it boxes "AI" to discuss only generative LLMs, while there are plenty of other machine-learning and algorithmic exploration technologies that can offer far more practical value in domains that are not just text-based token streams. But, yeah - "AI" now means ChatGPT and the other stuff doesn't have a name. I get it.

I've been in the games industry. I know how toxic some companies are. I know how radioactive most of the online gamer communities are. I know how horrible it is for girls in those environments. I know of, and despise gamergate. I was working on opposing it back then, and I know it still exists.

Aware of all that, I still don't understand why inclusivity would be helped by having gender-exclusive pro tournaments. Girls can whoop boys, no problem?

Please educate me.

Mulla oli huomattavan paljon biiffiä usean edellisen hallituksen toimen suhteen, mutta onhan tämä melkoinen suoritus, että puolentoista hallituskauden aikana mennään maksuttomasta, mutta kirjat omalla kustannuksella lukiosta ensin sellaiseen, missä yhteiskunta maksaa matskut, jotta ihmiset kouluttautuisivat ja sitten sellaiseen, missä opiskelijoilta peritään sakkomaksu osaamisen osoittamisesta.

Ei tässä säästöjen perässä olla, vaan kurjistamassa kaikkea pelkkää ilkeyttään.

Make no mistake: russia's war may be kinetically targeted at Ukraine, but its scope is the whole Europe. When civilian power plants are the target, it's not only a war crime, but its impact will be felt throgh gas storage and electrical grids all across the continent.

And we invited this by being weak in helping Ukraine to defend herself. putin and his henchmen must be defeated.

It's been over a month since Rep McGovern started his discharge petition to bypass Mike Johnson in the US Congress and get the support package for Ukraine rolling again. In the meantime, the House has mostly just vacationed, while russia bombards Ukrainian cities and energy infrastructure. The petiton is up to 195 of the 218 names needed for majority.

It's not just Johnson. Most of the representatives don't care.

Should Poland be patrolling Western Ukraine skies for cruise missiles and drones, shooting them down on sight? I think so. Finnish F-18s are going to be deployed in Romania soon, and I also think they should engage in active defense over the Black Sea.

But so far, NATO countries have decided they will not engage russian missiles over Ukraine or international territories. Expecting they do so in 39 seconds when a missile does enter NATO country territory is unrealistic.

And russia knows this.

I was today years old when I learned that on the date of Spring Equinox, daylight is already well over 12 hours here on the 59th latitude. 12 h 15 min, to be exact. We passed more daylight than darkness yesterday!
