YouTubeに昨日のエルビス・コステロのバンドメンバー、Steve Nieveのふたりだけの東京公演から「Shipbuilding 」と「We Are All Cowards Now」の2曲のビデオが上がっていた。どちらもメッセージ性の強い曲。そして、シンプルでとても力強い演奏だ。

ロシアがウクライナに侵攻した初期に、「Shipbuilding 」を繰り返して聴いていたのを思い出した。

ドイツのシュレースヴィヒ＝ホルシュタイン州政府が3万台のPCを に移行したというニュース。こういうニュースが出ると「日本も移行すべきだ!」というヤツが出てくるけどアホだなと思う
だってLibreOfficeは日本語をまともに扱えないんだぜ。そんなものが仕事に使えるわけねーじゃん。それにコミュニティも腐ってて、LibreOfficeなんとかチームのEのような口ばかりで手は一切動かさず、他人がやった仕事を横取りするような輩しかいないところで誰が活動したいと思う?
結局、LibreOfficeってヨーロッパの言語しか使い物にならないし、UIは2000年代で止まったままだし、仕方無しに使っているだけなんだよな

そうなんですよね。LinuxではLibreOfficeを使いますが、Windowsのラップトップを用意して、MS Officeのサブスクをしている理由は、そこにあります。仕事でオフィスのファイルをやり取りするためには、最新のMS Office使える環境がないと不便なんです。

私は丘の上に住んでて、どこへ行くにも坂を下って、帰りは登りです。傾斜のキツい長い坂だと、軽量ロードバイク（約7キロ）でも、電動アシスト付ママチャリに追い越されることがあります。

買物用にかごを付けたクロスバイクも持っているのですが、10年以上乗っているので、電動自転車へ乗り換えも考えてます。

フル電動自転車というくらいだから、アシスト付より速いけど、重いのですね？ フル充電でどのくらいの距離走れるのですか？

IU H.E.R. World Tour in Yokohama

IUさんが横浜に来ることは知っていたけど、絶対にチケット取れないだろうと思って諦めた。昨年のコンサート映画の円盤を観て、彼女のライブの素晴らしさは知っていたけど。

横浜のコンサートでは、ダブルアンコール部分だけ撮影可だったようで、YouTubeにいくつか上がっているクリップを観た。

今夜は気に入っているこの曲を繰り返し聴いている。

ラランドのファンなんで、そのYoutube昨晩観ました。サーヤの意見というよりも、構成作家さんの主張だと思ました。でも、X（Twitter)がオワコンだという観察は、そう思っていても芸能人はなかなか言えないと思うので、スカッとしました。

ただ、行先がThreadsというのが...
「これからはFediverseの時代！」とか言ってくれたらよかったのに。

Not about themes, but about connecting your WordPress blog with Mastodon.

I went back blogging with WordPress in my own VPS server last year. Using a plugin called "ActivityPub", you can distribute your WordPress blog posts to the Fediverse such as Mastodon.

雑用していて家を出るのが遅くなってしまったが、母の施設まで走って行って、差し入れの果物やお菓子を届けた。着いたら、施設の夕食の準備が始まる時間だったので、母の顔を見るだけで、急いで帰ってきた。

"Pod Save America"という政治ネタのポッドキャストのホストへのインタビュー。その中で、トランプの支持者集会での演説が引用された。何度聞いても、トランプが支持者までバカにしていることが、端的に表われている。

無理しないでね。こういう温度差の激しい気候の頃、なりやすいような気がします。私も運動始める以前は、時々ギックリやってました。近所なら、家庭医に貰ったけど未使用のコルセット差し上げるんだけど。

I totally agree with you. However, there is another problem. The region where the earthquakes hit is one of the most conservative constituencies in Japan. A strong hold of LDP, the autocratic ruling party. The current governor of Ishikawa Pref. is a former professional wrestler and a right-hand-man of the most corrupt politician in LDP.

A Japanese Mastodon user who saw my post in Japanese sent me a link to Central Community Chest of Japan, which accepts donations for the victims of Noto Quake. I believe the org. is legit.

昨晩からYouTubeのアルゴリズムが、タイのバンドのライブビデオをしつこく推してくるので、試しに観たら、ハマってしまった。

韓国のついて便乗質問いいでしょうか？

昨晩遅く、CSで韓国の漁村の料理を紹介する番組を字幕で観ていました。その時気づいたのですが、戦争中に「北から避難してきた」というお年寄りの会話部分には、日本語字幕に加えて、ハングルでも字幕が出ていました。

これは、高齢者で喋り方がわかりにくいからなのでしょうか？ それとも、北と南で字幕をつけなければなならいほど、言葉に違いがあるのでしょうか？

少し前のランニング中に聴いたポッドキャスト、「How to Digitize an Entire Government」に気になる部分があったので、記事版を読み返した。

エストニアは、1991年に旧ソビエトからの独立後、急速に政府サービスのデジタル化を進め、今では世界でこの分野で最も進んだ国の一つだ。Wiredのポッドキャスト「 Have a Nice Future」で、エストニアのCIO(最高情報責任者 ) Luukas Ilves(ルーカス・イーラベス)をインタビュー。彼はスタンフォードで教鞭をとったこともある元大統領の息子。

気になったのは以下。高齢者やデジタルサービスを拒否する人々に対する基本方針の部分

I feel some responsibility for the acts by the rogue BBS/SNS as it was originally developed my fellow country man, who ran away from many civil law suits involving his online services in Japan. He lives in France now.

数日前パートナーが、「（末期ガンの実母の在宅での）介護が終わったら、日本出ませんか？ もうこの国ダメでしょ？」と夕食中に訊いてきた。

私の母も90歳を超えて、現在は施設で暮らす。認知症のある彼女には、私が不慮の事故等あっても困らないよう、後見人が付いている。

パートナーはこのところ、母親の介護でかなり疲れている。気持ちは十分わかる。

生活費が確保できて、英語圏の国なら、私もパートナーも日常生活に困ることはないだろう。

WSJにこんな記事が載っていた。購読しなくても音声で記事は聴けるみたいだ。

YouTubeで彼女たちのシカゴのフェスでのライブパフォーマンスを観た。前半は生バンドをバックに唄を中心に聴かせて､後半はダンスで魅せた。45分のステージで持ち歌ほぼ全曲披露。メンバー3人が英語出来るから､観客とのやりとりもしっかり。デビュー1年の グループが初海外ライブでここまでやるなんて。

*初海外ではなかったですね。日本でライブしてますね。

I just got a text from my partner asking If I had 's . Yes, I got her1st album when it was released in 1988.

She listened to a country singer, ' cover of Fast Car and now is interested in the original.

I listened to the Luke Comb version. It is good, but I feel it is too respectful of the original.

It's an awesome song and the lyrics are timeless. I'm glad Mr. Combs has given the younger generations a chance to discover this classic.

、企画モノですが、とっても良質なポップソングですね。 というジャンルを超えて、普通に英語圏で売れる曲だと思います。

ただ、いろいろなもめ事のせいなのか、オーディオのみというのが残念。ビデオがあれば、もっと曲の世界が広がるのに。

の新曲 と比べても、曲だけならBarbie Dreams が、より広いリスナーを獲得できそう。でも、向こうのMVはカッコいいんだよね。
