Bug | Friendica: Das hat irgendwie den Rahmen zerschossen

Eben habe ich in meinen Stream/Timeline folgendes gesehen:

Rufe ich den Beitrag einzeln auf, sieht es genauso aus. Der Link zum Originalbeitrag ist hier. Ich habe aber keine Ahnung warum das bei mir so dargestellt wird.

Hello guys,

I'm getting #PHP process killed by #OOM killer lately and am not able to debug what and why is causing it, only thing i know at this moment is, that it seems to be related to #Friendica worker (no other webpages are running at my VPS.

Errors in friendica.log and httpd.log are repeated over and over again, I have tons of these.

@roland That would mean my worker would not be going nuts consuming 3+gigs of RAM as it shuts itself down after configured limit, if I understand it correctly?

I still don't get it why worker bot does not respect php.ini limit in this single process, thats what puzzles me most

@roland So, after the worker managed to get over all of the tasks without bigger issues the issue showed again and my worker is going nuts again.

Can't say for sure, but can't the worker be trying to process deffered tasks without specified limit?

@roland Tried to reduce worker count to 1 and tasks per worker to 1 as well, no change.

Getting roughly 2,5 GB memory usage for the problematic worker before getting killed. Maybe it's expected behavior and I'm keeping you busy for no reason?

It definitely seems wierd to me. What's even more wierd is, that everything worked for roughly 2 days with like 6 OOM kills daily (exactly what I got for last 2 years or so 😀 )

@jimmac @stooovie @sesivany nechci ti kazit optimismus, ale ve většině rozhovorů s kompetentníma lidma (Řehka, Foltýn, lidi na UA) tvrdí opak.

On sice Putler žebrá u Kima a v Číně, ale tahle válka je hlavně o dělostřelectvu a dronech - dělostřelecky je v klidu, protože má výrobní kapacity na nesmyslný množství ve srovnání s náma a drony evidentně (mj. i díky Iránu) taky nejsou takovej problém.

Potěšilo by mě, kdybychom přestali být přizdisráči, ale zatím to nevypadá. UA má dostat cokoliv a bez odkladu. Dělostřelecká munice se taky měla vyrábět v nesmyslným množství už teď, po dvou letech válčení.

Já chápu, že pro západ je to ekonomicky výhodný, ale přesně proto jsem naštvanej - tohle neděláme kvůli ekonomickým výhodám

@jimmac @stooovie @sesivany válka probíhá druhej rok, těch 300k od nás už dávno mělo lítat - na to se snažím poukázat. Poslední informace beru z livestreamu "Operace Naděje" - čísla si nepamatuju, pamatuju si jen, že západní pomoc byla směšná ve srovnání s tím, co má rusák k dispozici

I have noticed some strange behavior and would like to confirm it here if anyone experienced it too.

When you create post, that waits for federating to servers and edit it before it reaches server (not sure if it happens to other instances too), then the post never reaches target instance (or target instance rejects it?)

Is it just me, or it's some kind of bug (or expected behavior)?

@montag I can understand why it seems confusing. I guess someone would expect quote mark to quote comment text into reaction instead of sharing it.

Maybe someone here can find better icon for it for better ?

@montag Well, I'm not expert, but when you have to click/hover on icon to find out what it's doing, then the icon is not well chosen 😀

2nd and 4th are imho the best fitting as I don't find much difference in "quote share" and "share" for linking someones post

@montag @8petros Somehow I missed that "boost" is actually called "reshare" in Friendica. My bad.

I'd actually like more if (not that it would matter 😀 ):

  • reshare was called boost instead
  • quote share was called share instead

As I said - I don't think it matters what do I think (I actually thought it's called boost in Friendica too until now 😀 )

To me boost feels more logical as when I share something, then it's me who shares it - not the original poster. When I boost, I give original post new (my) audience - boosting it's viewer count in process

Média se soustředí na vraha víc než na oběti a pozůstalé. O vrahovi zachvíli budeme vědět vše od čísla bot po jeho záliby. Některá média zveřejňují detailní popisy, jak vrah popravoval lidi a to bez etických otázek, zda to jen pár hodin po masakru čtou pozůstalí. Strašně mě tenhle přístup mrzí. V zahraničí, hlavně v USA, se intenzivně debatuje o tom, jak o takových tragédiích informovat a existují na to už postupy. Z vraha se nyní tvoří zbytečně celebrita. Je to velmi špatně.

@jakubzelenka Podle mě je to tak správně - detailní věci k pozůstalým jsem zatím nikde nepotkal, zato o vrahovi chci vědět co nejvíc - protože mi to dává (pocit) možnosti situaci ovlivnit, kdybych se do ní osobně dostal.

Zároveň jsem postřehl, že se nemají zveřejňovat fotky útočníka kvůli tomu, že inspirují další útočníky. Podle mě je to blbost - ti se inspirují i textem a naopak přesně obráceně - díky těm fotkám se teď můžeme ptát, proč běžnej občan má doma dlouhou zbraň - to neni úplně běžná/vhodná bambitka na sebeobranu
