Moved hydroponic shelves out of hot garage and into basement for summer. Lettuce kept bolting out there. I planted a new batch of lettuce. 12 red romaine starts and 6 net cups with a couple seeds each of "marvel of four seasons". These varieties have served us well for years, and the red romaine are from seeds I harvested.
I'll succession sow another tub if seeds in around 2 weeks to keep them going at different ages.

Up-potted some pink, purple, and violet salvias and vegetables on this fine Wednesday evening. Yes I planted too many, and now I plan to give several away to neighbors. The cost of plants at gardening stores and big boxes is way too damn high, and I love making these little plants for people.

Once again, terribly disappointed in the bagged soil I got from Lowes. It's full of gnat eggs apparently. And I started seeds with it. Indoors.

Fortunately had some nematodes in the fridge, and they're in a spare bedroom with a closable door. Been vacuuming young gnats for two days now from around the soil.

@fasterthanlime I really enjoy when all my macros and keybindings for my gaming mouse fail mid game because their bloated ghub or whatever is in an infinite boot load cycle. That coupling should never be allowed.

Having just heard CHEESECAKE+ in its entirety, this has to be one of the best albums made in the last 10 years. I'm familiar with future funk but for some reason this album completely passed me by.

Just learned what the user interfaces in the SpaceX capsules run.

The capsules that provide life support for people traveling into space and have to be absolutely reliable.

Planted some herb seeds in this kratky hydroponic container I 3d printed. We'll see if I get the basil, mint, and stuff out of it. It'll be close, but we'll see which plants are best suited.

Hydroponic basil update: recovering after "topping", it's getting bushy and it's got a couple of friends in a later staggered stage of seedling growth. The small mint plant is hanging in there too.
