Feel free to tell me I’m wrong but this is how I see November shaping up: Trump will maintain his support from 2020 and enough previous Biden voters in swing states will stay home to make him lose. Is there some counter argument to this I’m missing?
The people who support Trump still do. They're checked out from reality. No fact or argument is going to make a difference to them. It's the middle of the ground voters who are have to be turned off by Trump's massive list of crimes, if they aren't already.
The upcoming election is really about, "do we as a country care that rich people break the law or not?"
“#France’s Senate on Wednesday adopted a bill meant to enshrine a woman’s right to an #abortion in the French Constitution, clearing a major hurdle for the legislation.
Seth Meyers: How do you address concerns about your age?
🔥President #Biden: First, you have to look at the other guy. He’s about as old as me but he can't even remember his wife's name. It's also about how old your ideas are. He wants to take us back 60 years. It's about the future
I wrote about the Vice Media implosion and why I don't think the U.S. media industry is capable of being honest with itself as to why this keeps happening:
I work as a local reporter. I can tell you for sure it's always management who doesn't know what they're doing. How to utilize content, how to build their brand, how to create goodwill, how to drive interest. I feel lucky to have a good boss, but I'm seeing a lot of outlets I can't say the same for.
Reading about the Murdoch family and the collapse of Fox News, it's like....what are these people even thinking? They've lost all perspective. Not a single moment of self-reflection from any of them.
Another element of Fox News that's troubling is...they tell such obvious lies that they can easily be seen through from anyone who does a moment of critical thinking. But, for a person who spent an exhausting 8 to 10 hours on the job, is just sitting on the couch, vegetating before sleep, turns the television on, thinking might be a bit more difficult.
Spending so much time at work instead of learning things has allowed Fox News to flourish.
I don't know what drives them to be nanny state control freaks, but until they figure things out, they shouldn't be given authority of any kind anywhere.
Sadly, I don't think they would learn anything from losing except that they need to play hardball more often. That's the outcome we're likely to get. They'd scream and rage and get upset and use violence.
