I have got a question for all the people out there with experience regarding and

is being rolled out and I probably will have to set up my Laptop again. Never used on a PC, so how about:

Do distributions support HP omen 17 (2019) ?

If so, which one would you recommend for chiefly MS Office use (64-bit Excel a must) ?

How difficult is a set-up for a non-IT pro who has always worked with Windows (but installed systems)?

Not an HP owner or user. So Googled, and it seems the process is straightforward.
builds on , and is a leading install and forget distribution which is also a good starting point for newcomers.

That said, not clear on how you got the BIOS errors. Could you walkthrough to it please?

Ubuntu is asking to enable sgx, which can be done as explained in the answers here https://askubuntu.com/questions/1406760/sgx-disabled-by-bios-in-ubuntu-22-04

Enter BIOS, go to security section, set the Intel software guard extension option to enabled -- from the top voted answer

The accepted answer explains a workaround. The catch being that watching 4K Blu-ray will be impossible.

So between the two.

Is that the only reason there is no code in the iOS ? Too many proprietary apple dependencies? Is it possible to develop iOS apps on ?

Still reading and hearing takes that Mastodon has “failed” as a Twitter alternative. Listen, it’s ok if it doesn’t work for someone—unlike Twitter, I think Mastodon requires more effort and cultivation to produce an experience that feels meaningful. It’s been worth it for me. But there is definitely a smell of…not sour grapes but people making broad assumptions based on their own experience while ignoring millions of other people. Will Mastodon top 100 million? Who knows. Who cares?

vipaal,

Those old enough will remember that a certain Redmond WA giant hired a similar army of articles as part of its FUD campaign against a teenaged hobby project by a student, which was not going to be anywhere near as professional.

A few years passed. A whole ecosystem of businesses were built by the kids who ran with the hobby, with Twitter being one of those businesses. While it is worth noting that the hobby project itself remains largely neutral and has not quite become a business itself.

That is to say, ActivityPub stands at a similar juncture in its life for all I can see. With Mastodon having been authored by a student as well, what's to stop the next generation from rising
