I wish more apps on iOS increased their prices, rather than go down the subscription model. I’d love to see $60 AAA games, and for example, desktop class apps on iPad Pro like FCP and Logic.

I’ve seen several samples of photos from 15 Pro Max that are way overprocessed like this, with weird artifacts, with some areas oddly sharp while others nearby really muddy and blurry.

Whatever AI or ML is using to post-process photos seems to be turned up much too high. I felt that the iPhone 14 Pro camera was a downgrade from the iPhone 13 thanks to its over-eager post-processing that yielded weird and artificial-looking results. I was looking forward to getting a more natural camera with the iPhone 15, but I guess that is not to be.

It seems Apple has doubled down on new tech rather than admit it’s going down the wrong path yet again (TouchBar cough cough), but I hope they realize that overcooked photos with meddling AI enhancements isn’t what pros want. https://mastodon.social/@ChrisPirillo/111117893994289205

Why does Apple not have an MKDirectionsTransportType for biking?

Trying to build out an app, and need access to the biking routes data from Apple Maps

You can use automobile, walking, transit, or any, but nothing specifically for biking...

(Stupid question, but is this worthy of filing a radar for??)

Sometimes I like to simulate rain for my house plants by putting them all in my bathtub and turning on the shower for a bit 🪴🚿

Studies have shown plants “feel” more than we had previously perceived, so I like to think they enjoy that “feeling” of being rained on

@simonbs i feel like initial votes will say to do similar to macOS, but when using the device people will have wished they chose modal/iPadOS style. visionOS doesn't seem to have any window management system, so things will inevitably get 'lost'

    @RobW highly recommend Austin and/or San Antonio. The river walk in San Antonio is amazing. Austin is a very vibrant, fun, young city.

    It sucks both are in Texas but they are outliers

    @khalidabuhakmeh wait what?? I use this daily for my job. It’s not perfect but allowed me to switch from windows to Mac as my daily work driver. We build .net core server side code and I absolutely love it…

    @chucker oh quote posts definitely have some downsides. But on the flip, there are many times I’d like to extend or refute a post and currently that’s a bit harder. I didn’t know it was added to the roadmap tho, that’s good to know!
