I saw somebody ask if you can have more than one video playing at a time on visionOS, or if it's like iPad.

The Simulator suggests that yes, you can have multiple videos playing side by side. Here are two different Safari windows, one playing YouTube and the other playing Apple's Guided Tour

Will there be more third-party apps on day one of the visionOS App Store than day one of the iOS App Store (about 500)?

My gut says yes, because there are just so many more developers out there now, but I don't know exactly how much money I would be willing to wager on it!

(EDIT: Excluding existing apps running in compatibility mode, obviously)

I’m sure someone far smarter than me at Apple has looked into this, but why isn’t Vision Pro sold in multiple sizes similar to Apple Watch with 41mm and 45mm?

Absolutely no shade, because as humans we come in all different shapes and sizes, that’s what makes you, you. However, Vision Pro seems to look better and proportionally correct on bigger heads.

Perhaps that’s the smallest enclosure they can fit all of that technology into right now, but I’m curious if this was discussed at all

Rewatching the original Star Wars trilogy and I'm going to say something extremely controversial

The Galactic Empire design aesthetic reminds me of Apple in that everything seems to have a purpose, clearly thought out, clean, sleek, etc.

The Resistance design aesthetic is very.. Android/Linux, wires hanging from walls, DIY, lots of buttons and thingamajigs…

idk what the deeper implications of this are if any, but I can honestly say The Galactic Empire has a good design eye

Developers probably already know this, but I saw Brian Tong wasn't aware in his latest video: the Environments on visionOS are all 3D RealityKit scenes with animation and sound. The area directly around you uses higher quality assets, but distant things are billboards and sprites. You are not able to stray more than a meter or so from your spawn position. These scenes have both day and night modes (which you can toggle), and let you adjust the ambient sound independently of system audio

I think I’m going to try something wild and submit App Store screenshots as just... screenshots. No device frame, no promotional text. Most of Apple's apps and apps few indie apps like Ivory use the format. It was the original intent of App Store screenshots. Plus... people don't find Facades organically. I'm careful with my keywords to satisfy app review. They follow a link or are referred from a friend. I don't really need to market it in the app description.

I have Edge installed on my personal Mac (because with it I can use Web Minidisc). And it's incredible how Microsoft managed to pull off the entire arc of internet explorer all over again.

Edge is completely choke-full of bloat – from its copilot features to its games and social sidebar, to its "rewards" thing(?) – and forceful ways to make you use Bing (for example, although you can change the search engine for the address bar, the new tab page only searches on Bing).

Truly incredible stuff.
