@winter@pleroma.envs.net

entity of sorts (catfoxenbygirlthing™)
autistic and gaily spirited :3
aroace as in i don't normally feel those kinds of attraction to specific entities
part of winter is awawawawawawawawawa

call me a default jazz triad cause im minor

techbros or "ai" types or "minors dni": do NOT interact with me, you will be ignored, removed and/or blocked appropriately. otherwise you can send a follow request but if i don't already know you (i.e. we have not interacted) i probably will deny it

follow requests from woem men and transfem social will be indiscriminately denied!

i love how printers have some really advanced hardware and can put ink/toner in exactly the right place on a sheet of paper down to sub-sub-millimetre accuracy...
meanwhile the software for them is some of the worst software in existence

gosh people need to stop trying to be professional and correct and just make shit instead

people who complain that my scrappy little php tools arent using the latest corpo js techbro framework can fuck right off

also maybe hot take: there is no need for all programs to be rigorous and strongly typechecked and well structured and so on. maybe if youre trying to make a big project that lots of people will use but for personal or creative projects i find this entirely useless and a waste of time

concept: storing script state in the html elements themselves

js frameworks would have you believe that you need an extra variable to hold the count here. not so (but that's probably still a good idea tbh)

would be cool if fedi servers had a way to "watch" a post so that you get notified of any replies to it, even if it's not your post

like often i see posts asking for advice and im like "gee i want the answer too" but its annoying to have to check back on the post periodically

fun fedi facts with winter!

you don't have to have a take on everything that happens. you can just Not post meta

thanks for tuning in to fun fedi facts with winter this programme was brought to you by "i have the word 'meta' silenced" edutainment ltd

it's super nice to write web documents in xml/xslt because if there's any syntax error the server just refuses to send the page, instead of leaving it up to the browser to guess something (which is what happens with malformed html)

concept: hypertext protocol that (optionally?*) transfers page requisites (e.g. images) directly after the page text without any extra round trips

*like there could be a user facing option to only fetch text

oh but what if it was just gemini with a multipart response (i hate this)

20 multipart/mixed; boundary="meowmeow"
--meowmeow
Content-Type: text/gemini; lang=en

# this is the main page text
it's just gemtext
=> %%MULTIPART/1 some image or something

--meowmeow
Content-Type: image/png

[png data]
--meowmeow--
