Geany, Gedit, Kwrite/Kate, Leafpad, Mousepad when in graphical mode!

I mostly work with the tools I've at that moment.

This week in was published again.

We would be happy, when some more users install 1.20 of our client for more testing before we mark it as suggested for all users.

Also:

  • aFreeRDP, LibreOffice & OpenOffice document reader and Green were updated again
  • Frigoligo is a new wallabag app
  • Principia is a new sandbox building game
  • Tailscale was completely rebuilt
  • Conversations and Quicksy were updated
  • ente Photos with self hosted support

Hello, thank you for the great work which is F-Droid 😊

I'm using version 1.20 on both Android 8 and 10 but on the older one change notes appear in most apps (see example in the picture), unlike the newer which doesn't show me the Conversation release notes (for example). Is this kind of feedback you're looking for?

wolfytuga,
@wolfytuga@mastodon.social avatar

@fdroidorg @grote
I have version 1.20 on both devices Android 8 and Android 10 (see first picture):

  • On Android 8 I have all the changelogs as shown on F-Droid page for that app (on both examples it shows the changelogs as expected);
  • On Android 10 it shows only a portion of them (it doesn't show on Conversations but on Delta Icon Pack it's there). The weird part is the fact it actually shows some of them but not all...
    I only notice this difference on 1.20, sorry!

Well, ain't it scary? 😨

wolfytuga,
@wolfytuga@mastodon.social avatar

@itsfoss To be honest, I've find more useful information in Arch wikis and forums than everywhere else! It's very very complete, and many of the solutions work quite well on Debian too (although there's some difference in configs)...
Ubuntu sometimes can be tricky due to some custom settings to make things "work" out of the box, which ignores the usual configs you find on Debian!

@nixCraft To be honest, I still prefer the jack option, at least it works everywhere, when the USB options... Sometimes works, sometimes not... And not to mention the Bluetooth which disconnects all the sudden...

Relatable? 😆

wolfytuga,

@itsfoss That's why I have a shell script to do it for me, primarily to keep my Download folder organised!
Whenever I do maintenance to my parent's computers, that's real chaos in there! 😱

@nixCraft True story!

Like calling me because the PC wasn't working, nothing appeared on the screen when they hit the Power button... Checking the cables, the monitor power cable was almost disconnected 🙄 And they told me they checked everything, the cables and stuff... Oh well!

Zoom forces you to update before joining the meeting. Whoever thought this was a good idea should be fired immediately. F@&! Off. 🤬😡

wolfytuga,
@wolfytuga@mastodon.social avatar

@nixCraft It's like the Teams update while we are using it, letting us without notifications until we focus the window again (lots of messages, missed calls notifications)! Why they don't do like Code and update it when we close the window?!? 🙄

nixCraft, to random
@nixCraft@mastodon.social avatar

it started 🤡 It seems unlikely that individuals who utilize Adblocker would be interested in making purchases. Perhaps they would be more willing to view advertisements or make purchases if their online activity wasn't constantly tracked across various applications, which can be a significant invasion of privacy. This is just something to consider.

wolfytuga,
@wolfytuga@mastodon.social avatar

Well, if we weren't brutally invaded with Ads which are bigger than the video itself (a small video with 3 minutes becoming a 15 minutes length due to Ads)... It's true some we can skip, but others we are forced to watch them! And it gets pretty ridiculous at work, when we are watching a Tech video from the supplier and then we see Ads to grow muscular mass or bikinis (I don't know what people are watching/searching at work...)!
