“A law like this can scoop up a lot of innocent victims” if people aren’t able to prove their case to the police’s satisfaction, Mitchell said. “This added factor that our lawmakers are trying to bring into the equation will really bolster a lot of [abusers’] ability to keep victims from speaking up.”
Considering this is Alabama, I assume that’s the intention. Give police a carte blanche to abuse the victims who called them, and make it harder to escape domestic abuse. Total fascist’s delight.
Everyone should have known this instantly about this laughable con artist just by the way he talks. Big, broad claims with zero specifics. At this point we’re still waiting for the health plan which will be so much better than the ACA.
Let’s say I hypothetically had some mice pee in some plastic components that cannot be properly cleaned in any realistic way. Is it possible to heat it up to “cook off” the mouse pee nastiness without actually melting the plastic?

It’s fairly easy to infer that Fox would not give a sympathetic or neutral interview to someone with views that the hosts fundamentally disagree with. The mod was unprepared, had poor lighting - which surely Fox could have asked them to fix before the show - started rocking back and forth, but they also have a lot of subtle ways of manipulating the audience. If you watch their other shows, the hosts use facial expressions and negative tones of voice to express what they want viewers to feel about the topic - look like they’re having an orgasm when they mention Trump, scowl and use a derisive tone for Democratic politicians. Some of that was going on with Waters’ smug smirk, but I think he detected quickly that the mod was an easy target and he didn’t have to do much for the intended effect. For some reason the interview drifted to the interviewee’s personal life vs. antiwork, too, and that’s intentional imo.
The bond reduction was especially absurd. Why give him such favorable treatment when he was also a relentless asshole to the court staff for the entire trial? Give him terms and f’ing stick to them.
“Russia, Russia, Russia! That’s all you heard at the beginning of this Witch Hunt Hoax…And now Russia has disappeared because I had nothing to do with Russia helping me to get elected.
I’m so tired of this stupid asshole. That’s right, Russia, Russia, Russia because you have so many shady ties to Russia.
Swallowing requires coordination of a lot of different muscles. Do you mean that you can’t get the swallowing process to start or that you swallow and food doesn’t go down all the way?
I had a lot of problems with the latter when I was sick with undiagnosed celiac and later developing type 1 diabetes. I’d swallow fine, but it would feel like the food was stuck in my sternum and it was very miserable. They couldn’t find anything physically wrong with my esophagus at the time. My interpretation was the esophagus was inflamed from acid reflux and thus narrowed.
There are a lot of problems with him heading Tesla that aren’t related to his politics but rather his personality in general. The long history of broken promises like “In November or December of this year, we should be able to go all the way from a parking lot in California to a parking lot in New York with no controls touched in the entire journey.” That was 2017. Or the “robotaxi” thing, which fooled a lot of people into thinking they could buy a Tesla and get it paid off by renting it out.
From our standpoint, if you fast forward a year – maybe a year and three months, but next year for sure – we’ll have over a million robotaxis on the road.”
“The fleet wakes up with an over-the-air update; that’s all it takes.”
Or more directly related to the personality he’s been displaying lately, the allegations and lawsuit about severe racism at the factory. Even if you don’t care about that, a hostile work environment does affect the quality of products…
The suit also alleges instances of racist taunts and threats, including death threats written in the bathroom and racist graffiti on “vehicles rolling off the production lines.”
Black employees who complained to supervisors about the behavior were subject to retaliation, including reassignment to unpleasant jobs, reschedulings and firings
It further charges the racial misconduct was “frequent, ongoing, inappropriate, unwelcome and occurred across all shifts, departments, and positions”.
And then there’s shoddy things like how their software is considered one of the absolute worst for privacy.
Even in a sea of privacy violators, the most valuable car maker was also the blackest of sheep. Tesla failed across all criterias of assessment—data use, data control, track record, security, and AI. It was the only carmaker that got an “untrustworthy AI” label from Mozilla.
His stingy arrogance also comes out in other practices the company, like how when people get into accidents using FSD, Tesla claims it wasn’t active… because it disengaged 1 second before the collision.
Or things like the steering wheel falling off or a wheel-wheel falling off (far from the only story of disintegrating suspension - there was one guy who had a wheel fall off a brand new Model Y he’d had for less that 24 hours, and Tesla blamed it on him).
So, Musk’s leadership is a real problem. I wouldn’t buy a car from this con artist.
I looked into this and somehow Tesla actually hold value better than other cars. Like the company’s stock price, I wouldn’t be surprised to see that change to become subpar over the next few years.
It definitely had some unintended effects. I’ve never lived anywhere else that had an army of methed out people on bikes hauling trailers full of cans or people digging through your recycling at 5 am. If people were collecting random cans and bottles that were littered, that would be nice, but taking them out of recycling isn’t accomplishing anything. I suppose it keeps some out of the trash.
I don’t like Biden either, but anyone with half a brain knows there are two choices in the 2020 election.
