Aaaand...I don't get the simple medical bed respawn change. Is that temporal? meanwhile combat and all that gets sorted?

I'd understand that, but I would hate if it was a permanent thing.

@Plus_Ultra There are ways to balance it I guess, with limited respawns etc. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet 🤔 It is pretty shady that the change comes with the upcoming sale of the new medical Ursa...

It took me a while, but I finally got things set up to play on Doom. I've been watching @El_Draculo for a while, and I've really wanted to give it a go myself. It was super-easy to set up thanks to , so tnx a bunch for that 😍

Now to learn how to play... 😅

Great summary as always Nick! 👍🏻 I really do wonder where the entire AI-issue will take us, and if the lawsuits will tear it down somehow 🤔

I also wonder about the Win 10 situation, because many of my friends cannot upgrade to Win 11 due to hardware limitations... Maybe Linux gets a fair shot from them now?

@64bithero Jumping in as in buying the game? Just wait for a FreeFly-event and see how it works on your PC 😃 On pretty much all PCs it runs really bad though 🙃

There is some really cool core tech that is not properly implemented yet that will bring up performance by quite a margin.

SCL confirmed bed logging will be a buff if you get a good night's sleep, but bed logging will not be a requirement. You'll log out and log in where you left off.

YES this is exactly how it should be, and it's what I've been suggesting for quite awhile now.

@ezlin So now there is even less reasons to take anything other than dedicated fighter ships to most locations? The entire selling point of ships with beds was the ability to log out wherever, whenever you wanted... What is the new buff?

I'm not mad though, I think it was unrealistic to implement this feature to begin with. People have lives outside of the game Mr. Roberts, took a while for him to figure that out 🙃

It ain't much, but it's honest work.

Players are raking in millions from a single salvaging job and here I am making my first million from mining after about a week.

This is a final profit of about 300K, which ain't great, but this is using rented vehicles. Those vehicles cost me a total of 170,952 aUEC.

The rented miner can't have its equipment upgraded so it's quite inefficient. It can't mine the best rocks.

To buy the Hull A I'll need another 290,853 aUEC. So, another week.

As of late I am deeply conflicted about 😿

  • I love the design philosophy; I think it's [one of / the] best libre 3D-capable engine out there. I use it and promote it.
  • I've learned shocking things about reduz (Juan Linietsky) that made me really sad and I don't trust him in regards to money and power within the project.

I don't want to go into specifics, because it won't fit a toot.

Don't downplay "haters" without evaluating their points.

In land I was able to mine enough material to get a single work order going. It's still buggy ala last night's post, but at least some of the rocks worked today.

Had I known that it was so flaky this patch I never would have rented this Prospector. :nkoFacepalm:

But it is what it is. I'll see if I can get a few refinery jobs going and at least make back the aUEC spent on renting this ship.

...then I'll need a cargo ship, but one step at a time. :blobcatshrug:

The spine extend-retract function has been megabugged for many many patches. I've tried to get IC-reports to go through but no luck 🙃

But when it worked back in the days, it really is the best cargo hauler in it's class 😃

Mine is a loaner, I actually own the Hull B! But it's not in-game yet 😅 I hope that when it eventually comes, it will be gold-standard and bug-free 🤞🏻

What if I went to CitizenCon 2954?

I'd be traveling alone, wich is not great for a really shy person. But this time I would have experience from my past travel to USA in 2017 to overcome fears and actually interact with people.

I'm looking at about 400€ for travel and lodging, plus extra for food and trinkets, PLUS the cost of the CitizenCon itself, let's say, it's 300€, all in all it would probably go up to 1000€ total.

That's a bit expensive...but doable if I put my mind on it.

@Naadiyaar yeah I'm stuck with my gtx 1070 for my TV-PC, and I have to run Linux otherwise my setup won't work properly 😅 But the GPU really is a pain in the ass, so many graphical bugs and issues with Wayland, and I don't get to enjoy the new FOSS Nvidia drivers either... 😞
