Saddening me time and again is seeing individualism and fragmentation in #FOSS.
#Collaboration between projects that's so often low-hanging fruit, yet never happens. More anticipation of needs, helping each other, be stronger together. Yet it hardly shapes up to the extent that it could.
We seem to lack time to become sustainable, let alone 'win' from #Hypercapitalism. No time to seek collab as we prod on alone.
There are exceptions of course, and better collab tools are becoming available.
My new #Docker container home page. It's called "Flame" it's so damn simple it's lovely.. Thanks to @thelinuxcast for telling about this one ;) #FOSS#Linux

#Foss folk and others, hit me up with some good Peertube or Youtube content. Linux user stuff, edtech, minimalism. Art and culture. Simple living minus the gardening. Philosophy, sociology.
The YouTube heuristics are just atrocious. Watch one cat video? Here's 50 more. Oh you follow a productivity bro and some tech topics? Here, have some hustle culture with a side of some deeply disturbing misogyny. You like the English countryside? How about some Britain First?
Na, dann wollen wir mal: Moin Moin, ich bin #neuhier (auf dieser Instanz) und freue mich als Hobby-Radler, Klimaschützer, Musiker und FOSS-Enthusiast auf gleichgesinnte. #bicycle#bass#climatejustice#foss
The whole #KeePassXC#Debian thing is kinda giving me second thoughts wrt. the whole #Linux distro and #opensource packaging thing in general. My understanding of the implied agreement between me as a dev and a distro's package maintainer is: the maintainer, to the best of their ability, tries to make my software work "as intended". In return, they get to publish it under my software's name.
That's clearly not how Debian views things. And I can't accept distros publishing broken sw w/ my name.
Are there any license or additional legal document I can include in my #foss / #opensource software to ensure that people can't redistribute modified versions under the same name? Sorta like what Firefox was doing which lead to the name IceWeasel for a time. I'd want forks to be okay and everything, just not unauthorized redistribution under the same name. Must I register a trade mark..?
Thanks #Debian for forcing me to think about this sort of stuff! Why can't we just not be assholes #law
But what about those #MS_Windows users out there? How about a gzipped tarball, all nicely packaged up so you can distribute around, of a custom built #PuTTY client that will securely connect people to your #Synchronet_BBS over telnet?
A privacy-friendly and interactive Kanban board to organize personal tasks and TODOs. The desktop application is available for Debian Linux and Windows. The release contains a new feature and a bugfix.
Hey friends on the #Fediverse!
It's been 6 years since our last, beloved PyCon Zimbabwe took place. #pyconzim brought us together. It was a time for connecting, sharing, & learning. Now, after years of silence, it's coming back!
We're a community-driven event, & like before we need your help to make it a success. We're calling on all of you to join us in this endeavor. Whether you can offer your time, resources, or just a share on your networks, every bit counts! #python#django#foss
Today we have @Conan_Kudo back on the podcast, the plan was to talk about Change proposals but that happened 2 hours in so have a listen to see how we got so side tracked #Linux#Fedora#openSource#foss
Decided to modify my existing USS Yeager corridor set (first image) to create a corridor for the USS Cerberus.
Still in progress, of course, but you can compare the first two images and see the different style I'm going for with this one. Besides adding more details, I've still got to replace the lift with a different style.
Did a quick LCARS screen using existing elements for the Cerberus corridor.
I also did a new turbolift based on the USS Prometheus one (which was a redress of the Enterprise-D emergency turbolift, only seen in TNG twice). Might change it to something else, it's a bit on the small side.
Recreated the turbolift graphic from the Prometheus, but on the Cerberus colors for the lift. I also modeled the handrails and the remaining corridor panels.
