Moderation has been a challenge for the major social media platforms which have community guidelines. Generally the same rules are supposed be applied the same for all content, but what if there was a distinction like we regularly make in our daily lives.

Compare the way we choose to behave in a library versus a sports bar. The same person can interact with others in both types of places and understand what is acceptable at the sports bar is not in a library. And restricting behavior at the sports bar to what is enforced in a library would be met with a lot of resistance.

This is why I feel like a public, global social media feed is flawed from the start. There needs to be groups or channels. Sometimes I want to go to the library for that atmosphere, and other times I want to be at the sports bar. Clearly that is totally normal. Social media platforms should be modeled on how we behave in different spaces in our daily lives. #Moderation (1/2)

It is incredibly important to see what is happening right now in Gaza. Israel has told the Palestinians that they are about to destroy 11 large residential buildings in the southwest of the strip. Hundreds of families have taken refuge there after the bombing in the north forced them out. Their homes in the north has been bombed out entirely. They have no place to go.
