MuseScore is an awesome program (https://musescore.org). But avoid the sinking sands of the service set up on musescore.com domain, made by the company that acquired both MuseScore and Audacity in recent years.

This stuff is a racket. I'd advise to install MuseScore from your Linux distribution's repository and never visit any websites associated with it.

MuseGroup's monetization schemes are vile.

A friend of my wife called yesterday because a rechargable battery she was charging had burst into flames and she had to put it out with plant soil. Good thing she didn't leave it to charge overnight...
I was asked to help figure this out. So I started asking about the charger and the batteries. It turned out the rechargable battery (presumably an AA cell) arrived earlier the same day from...
Don't get batteries and phone chargers from unknown sources. These can burn your house down.

Some time ago I have exercised by subscribing to all cat-related hashtags on Mastodon. Ever since then, when I open Mastodon, the first thing I see are these beautiful animals and it makes my day a tiny bit brighter. They do a great job at displacing all the political discussions and dramas, and things I always get too invested in, even though I have zero influence over them. Now it's mostly cats.

My first ever live electronic music performance with an improvised stage setup :)

Here's the full thing on video!

The first half is me just getting into the flow, but he second one becomes more interesting and less chaotic.

I am mighty happy with this result from a first attempt.

There's more coming, hopefully live at some point.

Texture baking before it was cool.

A.k.a "what you do to get more detail, when using more geometry is too expansive".
Works the same in as it does in ;)

If you don't see it: look at how the blue windows with plaster flowers inside the dome are... not actually made from plaster, but painted with a fake perspective and lighting to make it look real from a certain point of view.

A close-up reveals the trickery.
