I've been teaching myself how to use #Krita & dipping my toe into the world of #DigitalPainting.
Don't worry, I don't plan on ever stopping my usual pen & ink art, but there are some things I want to create that I need to stretch into other mediums for.
Anyways, I did a “learn krita while painting Bob Ross” tutorial which was super helpful, ...
then did another Bob Ross on my own, and now this:
this is only my second non-Bob painting, and I'm fairly pleased with how it came out!
I know I have A LOT of improvement still, the world of color is rather a bit of a conundrum for me as I'm so used to working in black and white. I know I have a few artist mutuals here, so please feel free to critique, also if you have any favorite tutorials, or books to learn from, that would be awesome too!
It's almost been a year since I've had Momo in my life now and I wanted to paint him now that he's all grown up! For the past several months, I have been struggling a lot with burnout and depression, but Momo has been the absolute light of my life during this time. He's a very happy kitty that loves to chat, play, and explore his surroundings with wonder and amazement. Because of this, I wanted to paint a piece that showed Momo in the the way that I see him. ♡
@agumon Now I love him too. It's good to have innocence and love to walk next to us through the darker days. Cuddle and let the gratitude fill his little body! hugs to you both.
It has been a while since I have done an #introduction so here goes! I'm a photographer, through and through. I am most alive when I have a camera in my hand.
Most of what I share here are my photographs. I'll also be sharing art that I create digitally, using my own photographs as the base. I've been digitally painting and transforming my photographs so that they're new creations, made by me (no AI).
Most recently, I've given acrylic (abstract) painting another try (I haven't painted since my teen years). If my paintings are not good enough to share here (from my judgment), I know I'll be able to use digital painting to complete my vision where my paintbrush leaves off.
Introducing a new piece of art in my gallery! "Sunset Over the Water" was created by digitally painting my own best-selling photograph, "Solitude at Sunset."

I had so much fun painting this that I can't stop being giddy about it loll :blobDerpy:. Her design is inspired by some of my favorite things I like like Muse Dash, Fortnite, Splatoon, art, fashion, and (of course) kitties :D
Side note, I'm not left handed ... but I wasn't paying attention and I like the way it looks too much to change it and I don't like it as much with the canvas flipped so hmph!! 😾😤
Some style exploration with anthro characters. I also have been wanting to paint jewelry for a while now - Lately, I've been reading Nana (the manga) for the first time and I love the attention to detail done on the jewelry the characters wear, and I wanted to try and do something like that. :blobWobble:

@darekpages Oh yes! Computer Art was great. I also remember the Blender Foundation had a subscription to 3D World while I we were working on the open movies Sintel. #listeningclub went to see #Suede play on Friday, they were suprisingly good, and I think better than when I last saw 'em, which was, err, supporting The Fall in '92. Took a photo which looked like a painting, so I turned it into a #digitalpainting
@john There is no pressure on 3DS, yes.
The dev made up for this with up-down hotkeys on the D-pad and it works quite well esp. with the adjustable opacity slider.
On the original DS (not DSi) the touvh screen actually had the pressure sensibility. It's a feature not advertised by Nintendo and worked wonky from the code perspective but the dev made it work smoothly in the app!
The Switch version uses SonarPen which detects pressure via sound.
