@MuseumShuffle ooo valid, tbh my enjoyment might be tied to the fact that I abused the shit out of item duplication in TOTK because spending hours mining didn’t seem fun. Grindyness like that isn’t my cup of tea, in BOTW I could run around perfect timing with whatever weapon etc.
The engineering elements of TOTK are soooo fun though, and yes the shrines are a lot more varied.
When I look at videos of what people created in tears of the kingdom, it felt like I was looking at another game. The only things I constructed were the jankiest solutions to shrines.
Assuming I don’t get even more sick, I do intend on continuing to stream TOTK on Saturday, around 9PM EST! We got to Hyrule’s surface from the skies above, and stopped just after making safe landing!
As a side note: I do plan on eventually having a weekday game and a weekend game. Weekend game will probably be the more taxing of the two, so eventually games like TOTK will only air on weekends. Weeknights will likely be solo Phasmophobia/classic Doom/occasional co-op if I can get some trans friends in :3
I'm happy with how much more stuff there is in the Tears of the Kingdom story. It may not be a whole lot, but it's way better than Breath of the Wild. Not done yet.
I can’t believe I’m so close to finishing #TearsOfTheKingdom! With +225 hours played (yes, I don’t want to think too much about it), I have totally gotten the most out of this game. It’s been so much fun, but I’m also ready to end it! 😁
It always feels strange being a person who loves video games, but hates boss fights. I have been absolutely loving Tears of the Kingdom and have sunk a ridiculous amount of hours into it.
@mattiem@MuseumShuffle I’d second this one. Hollow Knight is incredible but can also punish you so hard. I loved the exploration and difficult level traversal but the bosses were the worst.
I am actually toying with the idea of finishing all of the shrines before finishing the main quest of Tears of the Kingdom. As someone who didn’t even come close to finishing Breath of the Wild this is an unexpected development.
@MuseumShuffle And I’m perhaps 1/3 of the way through Tears of the Kingdom, stalled out when I got distracted by Sea of Stars, then Starfield, then Spider-Man 2, then Mario Wonder…
@WhollySchmidt I am absolutely the worst about getting distracted by shiny new things during a Zelda game and then regretting it when I go back later. I'm not dropping TotK until I'm done. I honestly don't see myself going back to BotW.

@aeris@Yamakyu Je précise que je suis pas le seul à penser ça, sur les différents RS je voyais mes mutuals en pv (qui avaient adoré botw comme moi) qui étaient à la limite de l'abandon au bout de 10h de jeu.

I'm going to guess that Mega64 doing a fight scene homage to They Live, was timed in accordance with the upcoming 35th anniversary screenings of They Live.
IMHO the best part of this sketch is the scene in front of billionaires' photographs (specifically: Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates) talking about how unethical it is to duplicate money without working hard for it.
"So you're just going to sit there and let your money duplicate without having done any work to earn it? God dude, that is so unethical! That should be illegal!"

I might try to dip back into #Everspace even tho it crashed on me as I finished the first sector, but before the achieve popped which is never a good look for a game, even if it's a roguelike.

Despite its multi-decade history, the franchise's actual titular character has almost exclusively been allowed to do cool things if they're off-screen or in a spinoff.
Here's a really well-shot and edited video of a #TearsOfTheKingdom hoverbike model being 3D printed, assembled, and painted. It's all in Japanese but there's not really any words anyway.

I think I've reached a point with Tears of the Kingdom where I'm okay with saving it for when I have a solid hour or two to play instead of trying to squeeze it into quick breaks from work or cleaning or sleeping. Been poking at an old Stardew Valley save in those smaller spaces the last couple days, though I should really get tucked back into Pokemon Emerald. I usually start a new game when I return to something after not playing for a while, which has led to lots of unfinished games (looking at you, Darkest Dungeon), but jumping back into this Stardew Valley in Summer of Year 2 is nice because I'm just established enough not to have to grind too much. Though there's a lot of stuff I absolutely don't remember what I was doing with. Like my fruit tree situation. #StardewValley
