This was a fun one, so let's do it again. What is something you've learned that seems unlikely, even though you know it's true? Here's one I think about a lot:
Sight, while being something something many people are born with, is not an innate ability, but something we learn to do. People who were born blind or were blind for a long time, who get sight, have to learn to see.

@krzyzanowskim meanwhile in python... uv resolves dozens of packages in less than a sec 🙃 I have recently switched from swift to python and this part works sooo much better
@krzyzanowskim Every few weeks I check on this issue hoping for any kind of progress, but no such luck. For every package dependency, SPM fetches the entire git repo, with all branches and history.
To give an example of how absurd it is, it takes SPM 10 minutes to fetch Firebase package alone on my machine with a gigabit internet connection.

I had 4 citronella tea lights (you know, the little metal cups) on my back patio table yesterday and they're GONE. Husband didn't touch them. I thought I'd heard something out back late last night. Has anyone had large birds or squirrels or something else steal candles? So freaking weird.
@acelaya yeah, but that's the thing: I want to use extensions. But I don't understand why extensions won't work when using Phive to install the PHAR, and will work when using Composer to install the PHAR.
Gonna get hated (again) but this has to be said: hiring juniors who don’t understand the foundations (html, css, js) and the proper separation of concerns will be more expensive in the long run. This should be a non-negotiable. But now maybe the leading cause of frustration and failed projects. It’s a hiring problem. But managers don’t understand this. We need more tech people with battle scars in management positions

The slow display on the Framework 13 was the main reason I had to return it in favor of the 16, but if it's 120hz with good pixel response, I might have to take a look again...
