#askfedi#hardware#BackImTowerGame#wifi6#bluetooth
I got a no-name thermal-print toy camera (named "Q5"), with no obvious tech specs to look for. Anybody got one and opened the case or reverse-engineered the app?
It has "wireless printing", where it shows a QR code pointing to https://www.pgyer.com/UNhf - with bloated YinTiBao apps for Android and iOS. It does not have WiFi, but appears as a #Bluetooth#BLE device named "BQ05".
It looks like one in my closest neighbourhood bought a smart toothbrush. If I added to my Home Assistant to see the statistics, it's considered as a Sunday hacking? :-)
Anyone with experience taking a bluetooth enabled product to market and dealt with the Bluetooth Qualification process? Are you willing to answer a few questions to help me out ?
I haven't tried using a set of Switch joycons. I hear (from a robot) that they are Bluetooth and there are apps that can make two of them behave as one controller for Wii (nunchuck) games. JoyToKey, x360ce, or BetterJoy
If you think about it, any android phone has a gyroscope; why can't I strap two android phones to my feet for pedals, and hold one in my had for a steering wheel? Maybe a third by my side for shifting?
I should be able to use two android phones as wiimotes in the year 2024!
(1/2) This weekend, on Sunday afternoon none important facts 👇🏼
Bluetooth was named after the Danish 🇩🇰 king - Harald Bluetooth, from the 10th century. The name was proposed by Jim Kardach, one of the founders of the company, who was inspired by a picture of the runestone of Harald Bluetooth - from the book A History of the Vikings by Gwyn Jones.
I tried to enable a PAN network via bluetooth on #zeST, so you get internet access and peripherals (keyboard, mouse, joystick) through a single USB dongle (the z7 lite board has only one USB host port, not able to power a hub and multiple peripherals).
It would be an understatement to say that the #Linux#bluetooth stack (Bluez) lacks public documentation. I could not find a single up-to-date, step-by-step description of PAN network setup using non-deprecated commands.
[demande de conseils projet informatique : application téléphone + communication bluetooth]
Hello !
Voici mon petit projet :
Saw huge amounts of data going to/from my electronic toothpick. I have it on its own lan but somehow it still seens to have been made of a botnet. Traffic looks like torrent, maybe someone hosting movies on it??
Mastodon brain trust: does anyone have good #Bluetooth#workout#earbuds that do not require installing an app?
Seeking: reliable pairing with #Android, decent sound, sweat proof, reasonable battery life
Nice to have: noise cancelation
Don't care about: mic, audio customization
I accidentally killed my ancient JLab Epic Sport BT earbuds with a connecting wire - and of course nobody makes that anymore. (If I'm wrong about that, please let me know!!) So I've resigned myself to independent earbuds at this point and am looking for a replacement that Just Works - pairs reliably, doesn't drop out, doesn't get out of sync... Any recommendations greatly appreciated!
ENG translation of the image for non-Japanese users: "Not particularly relevant" is written on all arrows, meaning #Bluesky, #BlueArchive, and #Bluetooth are pretty much irrelevant today :laughing_cirno:
"Apple Vision Pro isn’t compatible with older models of Apple keyboards and trackpads that use removable batteries. Apple Vision Pro also isn’t compatible with Bluetooth mice."
MFi game controllers work fine. Wonder why no BT mice support. Future addition?
Received my 3$ #Bluetooth receiver adapter now, plugged it into the old JVC #HiFi system… holy crap it works great!
Wirelessly streaming webradios to that 240-watts analog sound system with #GNOME's Bluetooth settings & @haeckerfelix's "Shortwave" app is the practical cyberpunk future I didn't know I needed!
The app is only missing the ability to auto-switch between preferred PipeWire output devices at runtime (https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Shortwave/-/issues/547) and it'll be… Chef's Kiss 👌️
My mom tries to #bluetooth pair her smart watch and her phone. But every time she enters the correct validation code in her phone, the watch denies the #pairing.
her watch is a Suunto Peak 9 Pro
Smart phone is some Shift Phone 5 on Android <edit>8</edit>
