Hartford CT area had it's third wettest January this month with 8.37 " of rain, displacing 1923's 7.77" of rain, and falling behind Jan 1978 and Jan 1979 with their 9.61" and 9.12" #CTWX#Weather
MRMS Recurrence Interval on rainfall over #NYwx and #CTwx for the past twelve hours suggesting rainfall totals exceed a 40 year rainfall in isolated locations with most places getting a 4-8 year rainfalls. A 40 year rainfall won't actually have any relationship to a 40 year flood, but we are seeing some pretty steep rises on river gages in the region. Major #Flood on the Bronx River earlier and most recently the Saddle River. Stay safe folks!
