I have a work meeting early tomorrow, and from the likes of how awake I am right now, I'm going to be useless. Accepting this fact is the only comfort that I have while I lay in bed, waiting for the sleep meds to work. #goodnight
Yes, I know, I've been quieter than usual today, but only because if I start dumping every dark thought wandering the inside of my head, some of you might end up sending paramedics my way, and that would be a problem since I'm trying to sleep. #goodnight
Doctor told me to get drunk and swallow Ibuprofen. I followed his advice. It helps to deal with the pain after him cutting out the thrombosis that has plagued me for many years. . #GoodNight
At first it seemed silly to get a day off work to take care of personal errands, and then taking a second one to "recover", but considering how exhausted I feel now, it doesn't feel silly at all anymore. Time for 12 hours of ZZs. #goodnight
In a shocking turn of events, I'm actually sleepy at bed time... of course, I'll probably get wide awake after laying down, but I'm still going in... #goodnight
I admit. I am disappointed with many people on my timeline who take the #xz backdoor as “we are doomed” when instead it shows the power of Open as someone working on something completely unrelated decided to investigate something out of curiosity, shared his findings and in less than 24 hours the backdoor was confirmed, contained, solved, fixed before it became a real problem. A huge success, IMHO. But some of you folks just want to see the world burn, I guess?
I will start to look at other places to find people that share my optimism. I don’t want to feel the need to defend it. I think making things better is why we exist. The internet doesn’t help with that anymore. So I’ll do my thang in real life and let the internet do their thing of demotivating everyone and everything. #Goodnight and virtual hugs!
As we at #RedHat made very clear, no versions of RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) were affected by the #xz backdoor. My two production servers run on RHEL. So I am relaxed. #Goodnight (and before you complain: you can get RHEL for free for up to 16 machines with the developer subscription for individuals)
