1st dragonboat races, happening on May 26. I have to be on location all day, as when I'm not paddling in race, will be doing drum/beat calling for races I don't paddle in. An important vote just closed, about whether to federate with Meta's Threads or not.
I don't quite agree with the outcome, but it is something I can live with as a compromise, and I VASTLY PREFER this messy, argumentative, and lengthy (yes!) process of member democracy over any unilateral action by any instance administrator or overlord, even if they are quite benevolent.
I'd love to be able to put numbers on these thoughts about #representation and #LivedExperience on #Fedi as opposed to the corporate internet, and have actually toyed with the idea of running some informal cross-platform polls, although I don't know if I would.
If anyone knows any published literature on these questions, I'd love to see it.

The full course now runs in a compressed format (4 weeks of content + exhibition) and we're proud to be a Recognised Design Entity with the Design Institute of Australia, meaning the course is eligible for DIA Accredited Designer points.
