Oh no! 😯 The display of my #lenovo#thinkpad Z16 AMD just went dark and the laptop put out a "Musical Tone" to tell my that the integrated graphics are defective and that my motherboard needs to be replaced. 🫢 I did an emergency hole reset and tried booting from USB, but unfortunately the problem persisted. I've already contacted Lenovo about the issue and hope to be back up and running in no time. 🙏
@graves501 All #positivethinking and #affirmation work aside, I can't help but admit that I never want to own a #lenovo laptop again. The #support is truly #underwhelming. My computer has been at Lenovo Thailand for over 40 days and the #repair status has just gone back to on hold and they can't tell me anything over the phone other than that they expect to update me on what's going on in January. 🙏
It's sad when you buy a piece of #hardware (also) because of its #repairability, only to find out later that the manufacturer is super hard to reach and apparently doesn't offer #spare parts. 🫤️ Happened to me with the NS900 Live #headphones from Nocs, where in my case the #earpads disintegrated and the cable on the #proprietary connector broke. 🤔️ But who knows, maybe this will have a happy ending after all as I have contacted them again to ask for spare parts. #positivethinking
Today is "Positive Thinking Day" - I think the sun will stay here a little bit longer, all throughout September because after all there is a reason it's #SeptemberSunshine 😅
My phone is now 6 years old. It still has all the performance I need and probably will for years to come. But it hasn't received an update for years due to capitalism. Therefore, for security reasons, I should have replaced it years ago (can't afford to though). There should be laws against this kind of fabricated bs obsolescence. #smartphones#capitalism#obsolescence
@Kurt@macberg In the end (I think) you can only trust yourself (or things you are personally involved with and have the ability to oversee and judge). Even though I am a critical thinker, in this case I am aware that I simply can't personally overlook either the large companies nor the smaller projects which is why I would let my default #positivethinking mode prevail and go with my #intuition. Personally I'd lean towards the smaller projects, I guess.
