I mentioned Bingo Boys' 2023 record 'Freak Out & Leave' in February, how I was upset I somehow missed it last year. They're from Indianapolis, Indiana and make some incredible catchy, melodic psych-ish garage/punk.
I've been going through their back catalog today and they don't even have bad songs. 🤯
Bingo Boys put out a couple singles this/last year which are unfortunately only on Spotify, but Bandcamp has several of theirs too- ALL good: https://bingoboys.bandcamp.com
an american documentary filmed through 1979 and 1980. The movie is about the Los Angeles punk rock scene and was directed by Penelope Spheeris. In 1981, the LAPD Chief of Police Daryl Gates wrote a letter demanding the film not be shown again in the city.
#StarWars#TheHighRepublic is great because it fills a spot hitherto untouched in the world but it's also incredibly frustrating for me to read anything about the #nihil because I fundamentally do not believe they'd be able to pull of half of the stuff they do in these books and comics
Like the nihil strike me as the star wars equivalent to #ancaps combined with rich kids appropriating #punk aesthetics and I'm supposed to buy that not only could they sieze large swathes of #republic territory but actually hold and govern it for over a year in-universe?
#NowPlaying a straight up feel good banger of a record from 2023 that you may have noticed already because I never shut the hell up about it last year, Gee Tee's 'Goodnight Neanderthal'
Listening to Jason Loewenstein's 2017 solo record Spooky Action again today as I often do, yknow, just because it's one of the greatest damn albums ever recorded
I forgot how much I loved this whole album. A song from it came up on my radio today so of course I’m just listening to the whole album on repeat again.
Happy Birthday to Ron Emory, American rock musician and guitarist for the punk rock band T.S.O.L. (True Sounds of Liberty), born May 20, 1962, Lynwood, California
