The AI music firm, which is one of the rare start-ups that can generate voice, lyrics and instrumentals together, says it wants to usher in a “future where anyone can make music.”
Suno allows users to create full songs from simple text prompts. While most of its technology is proprietary, the company does lean on OpenAI’s ChatGPT for lyric and title generation. Free users can generate up to 10 songs per month, but with its Pro plan ($8 per month) and Premier plan ($24 per month), a user can generate up to 500 songs or 2,000 songs, respectively, on a monthly basis and are given “general commercial terms.”"

Ich hab mir jetzt mal die #AI Music generation von #udio und #suno angeschaut, und "Überraschung": klingt gar nicht mal so gut. Und damit meine ich sowohl die Tonqualität als auch Musikalisch.
Die Musik selbst ist super Standard und weist wenig Kreativität auf, und vor allem spüre ich, dass die AI nicht wirklich Ahnung von dem hat, was sie tut - ständig plärrt irgendein Instrument oder ne Stimme an einer vollkommen unpassenden Stelle herein und das Metrum stimmt auch eher selten. 🧵 ->

W sumie nie powinienem być zaskoczony, ale jestem ze względu na to, jak dobrze to działa. Suno potrafi wygenerować 2-minutowy utwór muzyczny w żądanym stylu, co sprawdziłem na przykładzie opisu @wilda Dla hard rocka wyszło świetnie:
Niestety, z black metalem już sobie tak dobrze nie poradził, ale nie tracę nadziei. Choć mimo swojego uwielbienia dla ciężkiego grania wiem, że hard rock to jest limit, który jest rozsądny do utworzenia muzyki, w której da się coś zrozumieć :) (no, może jeszcze heavy/power, od biedy thrash metal)
Katy Perry, Billie Eilish, Nicki Minaj uvm machen mobil gegen generative #KI für Musik. Ich kann das sehr gut verstehen. Auf dem Spiel steht auch, welche Bedeutung ihr Lebenswerk hat.
Beim angeblichen "Angriff auf die menschliche Kreativität" gehe ich aber nicht mit. Es ist vor allem ein Angriff auf das etablierte Geschäftsmodell kommerzieller Musik.

I always write my own lyrics, and a song is often the result of lots of experimentation and continuation to arrive at something I enjoy. All results are dedicated to the public domain. Genres will vary wildly.

#AI company #Suno emerges that generates realistic #music, with vocals. You just dial in what you want and presto. Of course it's slurping in vast amounts of actual music from actual artists, but hey. As for pull quote: 1st sentence is honest. 2nd sentence is a lie.
@fsf I managed to use suno AI for something good this time, I wrote an awesome song about free software, even though the completeness of gnu/linux is a bit exagerated. It's very weird that even though I wrote the lirics and the ai just did the vocals and instrumental, this is pretty catchy. I dk if I can license it under gpl or a derivative license for artwork, because it's made partly by ai, so I'll just put it here as it is. The lirics are in the next post #suno#ai
