An interesting one for #MusicWomenWednesday - sometimes as I'm watching TV, I use Shazam to take note of a song so I can find it later.
Isobel Waller-Bridge is a modern classical composer for TV and movies, and her cool song "Bloom" was in whatever I was watching. That led me to her whole 2015 EP, 'Music for Strings'.
I'm not a fan of your older regular classical type stuff. But THIS? THIS is damn good.
Sometimes you run across something by accident on Bandcamp that's weird and wonderful. I'm fairly sure I was looking for another artist a couple days ago when this popped up, but I wishlisted it then because why not, and I just now had a full listen.
This is the 3 song EP 'Treasure Trove' by Baltimore's YOUR MOM from 2015. It only lasts a few minutes, but those few minutes are strange and beautiful, and now I'm curious to check out the rest of their back catalog.

The Black Sabbath song recorded in John Lennon's home
Revisiting the recording process for the 1981 Black Sabbath album 'Mob Rules', some of which occured within the home studio of former Beatle John Lennon.

This is Dana wearing the new Fogdriver T-Shirt. But wait a minute - did you notice the similarity?
Yes, you´re right. She is indeed the "dancing shadow" in the fogdriver-video, on our CD-cover and the centre point of our new Shirt design!
Thank you so much, Dana, for being part of all this!!
No one ever says, "We're having a bonfire/singsong on the beach, could you bring your Trumpet?"
I just say I don't play any instruments.
I spun CDs professionally once.
Bands would give me free CDs (Payola) when they asked what I played. I'd say YOU, I'm a DJ. I'm all request
I've been up about 3 hours, listening to tunes. Might as well share some?
Prompted by someone who's first memory of catchy instrumentals forgot about the early 60s. Instrumentals were big from 1940, to 1960s. I've seen folks dancing to this one.
Is it a beat or an instrumental song? Sometimes I can't tell. Anyway, I made this and I like it. Crunchy, severely bitcrushed and featuring my old Sequential Circuits Prophet-600 in a more than usual wonky mood. This started out as an exercise in recreating an old RZA-beat from Ironman, but it derailed more or less straight away. #instrumental#hiphop#music#beats
