Here's a thing; if you are going to order food from a delivery company like #UberEats, #Foodora, #Wolt, #Deliveroo, #JustEat, etc. then once you have picked your restaurant, go and check the restaurant website to see if they have their own delivery option.
Sometimes they offer delivery themselves - or with a chosen partner company - and it can work out cheaper for you. Or if it's the same price, but the restaurant sometimes pockets more from the sale.

Just wanted to share a bit of an eye opening experience. @PrinceMumbles and I have had a bit of an increase in take-out orders where I've been working a lot further away from home than usual and he's been super busy with his work and neither of us wanted to come home and cook, tonight was one of those nights and we had one this time last week as well.
The difference last week is we wanted to order from a place we had not tried but heard good things about, but they were only on #UberEats

I received a free GrubHub membership with Lyft Pink. The whole service fee and delivery was less than two dollars, combined (1.23 total). 🤯 Virtually no overhead on the menu price
If only Lyft rides were affordable. Often their prices seem insane and getting a ride from Uber is the better option

When your Uber Eats driver disappears with your order for over an hour and tries to blame the store (who also tried to contact him) but then turns up and looks nothing like the person in the app (they did not change drivers). Just wondering if Uber Eats drivers can share accounts with other people and have them drive for them?
#ubereats tip. Greetings everyone I have just discovered within the Uber eats app and under the account tab, there is a new voice settings option. You can have your Amazon echo devices update you once you click on track order status on the order track screen after placing an order. You could also set this up for Siri and Google assistant. Just thought I would let people know that this feature is now available and I just happened to discover it today. I love the idea of the echo device updating you when your order status changes when ordering on Uber eats. If anybody tries this feature, please let us all know how it works. I will do the same.
Every couple of days I run into a lost gig economy delivery driver in my building. Today, it was a monolingual Spanish-speaking woman. She was in the elevator when I got in and was clearly trying to exit our maze.
For the love of everything decent, if you order delivery and getting to your home's front door requires going through more than two doors and/or an elevator, just meet the delivery people at the street. These folks do not get paid enough to be losing 20 minutes and risking a ticket or their bike getting stolen because you're too lazy to put on slippers.
