@SweetAIBelle thx for your for OS/1337...

I just had the time to get it merged.

https://github.com/OS-1337/OS1337/pull/3

kkarhan,

@SweetAIBelle nodds in agreement

Ideally there would be a fully scripted build pipeline so one can build OS/1337 from scratch by just running a single-liner that downloads and builds everything from scratch...

Kinda like ( https://brew.sh ) works...

Great job, Elon.

    @freebliss Nice one - thanks! I think you might not need Xcode as brew has pre-built binaries for the last three major os versions. I’ll see if I can sort out a clean VM to test, otherwise maybe some kind fediverse soul has some experience here?

    I swear I only wanted to update Pango. Ended up, 40 minutes later, with over 50 updated packages and cleaning out another 200 or so. Despite the warnings, this is why I get frustrated continuing to use Homebrew.

    Since my mid-2013 reached its (long time ago), and the decides not to support 11 anymore. 😤

    I’ve decided to bring my back to life and install on it. And it is indeed great so far. 😍

    As you can see I’m still configuring and customizing it.
    Let’s see how it goes 🙄

    Any users using to manage (at least a few of their) packages? Developing on Mac myself and it feels really convenient being able to target both Mac OS and Linux using a single tool, but I have honestly no idea if anyone on Linux is using brew. Are they?

    If not, what would be the best way to distribute CLI tools for Linux? My apps are mostly written in Go, so basically just a binary without dependencies.

    Yes, dear package manager, I definitely did want to upgrade my installation when I’m rebuilding my package. You know, the package I had to downgrade every time I tried to update a completely unrelated package.

    Does anybody have a recommendation for a that is less “helpful” and instead simply does what one asks it to do? ’s approach of “oh, this looks a bit outdated so let me ‘help’ you with this” is starting to get on my nerves.

    After tirelessly working on optimizing Cork’s custom package retrieval function, I managed to reduce the time to load packages from a cold start by… 6 milliseconds. What do you guys think, is it worth including in the next version…? 😅

    Another hotfix coming to the Cork demo and latest release:

    When you tried to remove a tap and it still had packages installed from it, it was supposed to give you an error; instead, it just hanged.

    Now that error properly shows up.

    I updated the @homebrew cask to the latest release of version 12. So if you’re a user and were wondering why you were stuck on version 11, that’s why.

    https://github.com/Homebrew/homebrew-cask/pull/146649

    GraphicConverter is a legendary thirty-plus-year-old image editing powerhouse; even bundled it with new s before they released .

    mjgardner, (edited )
    @mjgardner@social.sdf.org avatar

    FWIW, I’m neither involved with nor development, just a user of both.

    I looked up the latest version number on LemkeSoft’s website here: https://www.lemkesoft.de/en/products/graphicconverter/overview-of-new-features-and-versions

    Then I ran this command:

    brew bump-cask-pr –version 12.0.2,6105 graphicconverter

    That downloaded GraphicConverter, updated the cask file with its version and security checksum, and opened a pull request with the update.

    Learn more from @homebrew here: https://docs.brew.sh/How-To-Open-a-Homebrew-Pull-Request#submit-a-new-version-of-an-existing-cask
