You can know someone for years these days and have no idea what their handwriting is like. One misses this. At work you knew who wrote the note just by looking at the handwriting #cursive

I know you have to go ⬆️ to the link to see the original post, but my random comment for Mastodon community is, people really can't read this #recipe for curing bacon?
I mean the writing is a little crabbed, but I can read the whole thing readily. I know they don't teach #cursive in school any more, but I don't know when they stopped.
"Watch your brine for scum" is a great tag line regardless. 😂
It felt weird not to post something today, now that Inkvent is over. But I did have some blog post ideas percolating during Inkvent, so I decided to write one of them today:

“A big part of what I’m going to need to do here is reintroduce this great heritage brand to the next generation,” Bantle says. “And kids don’t even learn to read cursive in school anymore.”

Of course, the answer is yes; it's yet another thing the government should pay for but leaves to private citizens. https://ecoevo.social/@sarae/110605779521714437
I got a bunch of my grandma's old recipes this weekend, which is lovely.
Next i get to translate her cursive because many letters look similar. And don't forget the water and grease stains on all the cards. Quite a job ahead of me.

Next #vinyl#spin is Tim Kasher's (from #Cursive band) side project, #TheGoodLife. Can't believe #BlackOut came out 21 years ago, the year I graduated high school! Aaahhhh!
