Now both the first playable Kongs are kidnapped but it's okay, we have Dixie Kong and some other guy.
Quite more steamlined then the previous games plus an interesting traversable overworld and a overarching inventory. And we've got other animal buddies
If you haven't played it and already played the first 2, go play this one. Go for 103% (actually 105%!!!) if you can.
👾 Hello Retro Gamers! Today I thought I'd dig into my SNES shelf & post 2 random games from there. Donkey Kong Country 2 & F-Zero.
I posted earlier in the week about my history on F-Zero games. Love them! Donkey Kong Country 2 I love but I was late to the game since I only recently started playing it. I was missing out on such a great game for this whole time!!! It is a great title & still fun today.
I love #DonkeyKong and collecting his games, so look what came in the mail today! On the right is the #gameboy color port of #donkeykongcountry. Yes you heard right, they fit the whole 3D 16-bit #SNES game onto this 8-bit handheld and it is shockingly faithful to the original. I lowkey think this might actually be the best portable version of DKC1. Being in colour, it’s immediately more readable than the DK Land games, while it also looks crisper than the washed-out #gba port. Cont. in comments
Playing #DonkeyKongCountry on the Switch feels reeeeeeally nice. It's such a brilliant game, and quite challenging as well!! I love that it can be played on the latest Nintendo console #retrogaming
I did rely on the rewind feature of the SNES emulator? Most definitely. Still, I massively enjoyed my playthrough of #DonkeyKongCountry. I don't mind not having found all secrets either...
