Mastercard sells personal data - specifically shopping data such as a transaction amount and frequency of transactions - for profit.
Allegedly, Mastercard predicts who will be a high-value spender and encourages them to spend more. The more swipes, more money for Mastercard via card fees.
I'm reasonably sure Mastercard isn't the only card company doing this...

Mi sta per scadere una #Mastercard prepagata. Ho richiesto l'invio di una prepagata #Visa, per vedere l'effetto che fa, che #BancaIntesa mi ha proposto con zero costi di gestione.
Il punto è che non la spediscono all'estero. Ho dovuto chiedere l'invio a casa dei miei genitori e ho dovuto fare in modo che questi ultimi mi mandassero una raccomandata in Germania. E probabilmente #DeutschePost mi ha perso la raccomandata. E son già due.
Ho notato che in Germania si usi molto la #PayPal collegata al conto in banca. Tanti tedeschi hanno solamente la #ecKarte, ovvero la #Maestro o la #Vpay e nessuna #Mastercard o #Visa, perché tanto per i pagamenti online usano PayPal.
Per me è comoda la prepagata, perché posso usarla come conto secondario per qualche risparmio. Ma magari si può usare anche PayPal. Non lo so.

Bonjour tout le monde, question technique, j'ai acheté des billets d'avion à mon frère avec ma carte Gold pour qu'il bénéficie des assurances qui vont avec (annulation, retard, perte de bagages...). Cependant, son voyage est en janvier, et cette carte me coûte cher donc je pensais la résilier. Sera-t-il toujours couvert par l'assurance, puisque l'achat a été fait la carte, même si elle n'est plus valide au moment du voyage ?
