United Nations International Computing Centre (UNICC) has selected as its communications platform, following a competitive process.

Element stood out as a digitally sovereign platform which offers end-to-end . Its ability to be to support multiple organisations was also a key factor in the process.

Relatedly: if you aren’t using #Signal yet, what are you waiting for? 🔐

Even if you don’t plan to be at odds with the law,

  1. the recent criminalization of #protest means you just might be anyway

  2. normalizing #secure communication helps to protect others

  3. it’s easy - and it’s not illegal (yet)

Pass it on 🤝

"Best" as in reliable, , easy to get personal and future proof?

I believe Universal Blue supports Secure Boot, since they specifically went to make it work for even Nvidia users - I’m assuming it works similarly for the non Nvidia variants or maybe just uses Fedora’s default keys? I’m not too well versed in how SB works.

Then it also comes with Distrobox so you can just spin up an Arch container and use AUR apps through there.

It’s a real bummer that the pointless videos that I make showing off a distro get more views than when I make a video about how to/tools to use to make your linux system more . Any video that I’ve done pertaining to gets waaay less views. And it’s not about the views, it just goes to show that even people in the Linux community don’t care all that much about security sometimes 😅

For decades police/military/intel agencies/critical infrastructure in 120 nations relied on standard to . But researchers examined used in TETRA and found something startling - an intentional backdoor.

  1. This and other problems the researchers found with TETRA would allow malicious actors to decrypt communications and also, in some cases, send malicious commands to critical infrastructure or send fake messages to police/military radios to disrupt their operations

  2. TETRA uses 80-bit keys in its encryption algorithms, but the researchers found that one of these algorithms has a secret reduction feature that reduces the key to 32 bits - which the researchers were able to crack in less than 1 minute using standard laptop and just 4 ciphertexts

I want to switch to a and reliable provider. I'm currently using MS 365 Business Basic (or whatever they're calling it these days) and have looked at and . Unfortunately, it seems the former doesn't allow sending from alias addresses, while the latter doesn't support importing from another provider.

Any tips/suggestions?

Been using #grapheneos for about a week now and I just have to say WOW! I don't think I've ever had an experience on my phone that feels like I'm using my #Linux desktop/laptop. The amount of control this OS gives back to me that google and apple took away is staggering. I know no piece of tech is 100% #private or #secure . But damn is this close!

Step away from the AI hype.

An amazing person has spent 18 years trying and failing to create something nobody else has attempted as far as I know.

But last week the beta baby began taking its first steps.

#Autonomi is the first truly autonomous network. A #privacy focussed, #secure platform with no gatekeepers, no servers. Just you and the network.

It's democratising, #decentralised technology, secure from the ground up.

Most will ignore or dismiss this until they cannot. You?
