Monday 6:44am.
Is it really #Monday again?
In this case it is in Holy Week, but my #FoodBank work continues. Pretty sure a lot of my workmates will be taking #GoodFriday off, but I shall be working preparing end of month report data. #Coffee and Kind Protein breakfast bar is next to me about to be consumed.
Hope y'all manage to have a purpose filled day. If not (or even if you do) feel free to DM me.
Saw all these wild #turkeys hanging out in front of a #church today. Was trying to come up with something #funny and clever to caption it with, but I got nuthin'.
Please watch this for the animals. It's a hard watch but everyone should know what goes on behind closed doors and a happy sales pitch. And this happens all around the world. @vegan #animals#turkeys#factoryFarming
Each year in the days leading up to #Christmas, #Australia kills 5 million #turkeys. Most are confined on factory farms where it is standard practice to inflict painful mutilations on them including debeaking and toe removal procedures without anaesthesia.
Please help us to make Christmas a time of joy and warmth for all beings. Funds raised from your symbolic adoption will be passed onto farmed animal sanctuaries around Australia to help them care for rescued turkeys.
Pictured in the photo is beautiful Kristoff. He was destined to be Christmas lunch until a brave family member stepped in to rescue him. Kristoff was lucky enough to be taken to Greener Pastures Sanctuary in Perth where he has been living his best, turkey life.
You can help Kristoff, and other turkeys like him, by supporting our treasured Australian farmed animal sanctuaries to care for all animals fortunate enough to find their way to a place of safety.
Turkeys were a marvel of conservation. Now their numbers are dwindling.
When researchers started trapping and putting radio trackers on female turkeys in the thick woods of southeast Oklahoma, they hoped to learn how hens were successfully raising their young.
