I own a Huawei P20 phone with the Leica camera. I try to take at least 1 half decent photo every day if I can.

In 2020, Apress published my first book, 'Arduino Software Internals'. My second, 'Arduino Interrupts' was published in Dec 2023. I'm writing another as well as a 2nd edition of 'Internals' to document recent changes.

@ferricoxide I fully agree. Dress codes are for dicks! (Harsh but fair!) because never, in all my years of working, have any of my clothes fixed a Honda Bike, fixed a Yamaha outboard, solved a Volvo Penta marine diesel engine problem, built a GRP boat, written a computer program, solved an Oracle database problems or written a book. Never!

It was me, the puny human inside the clothes that did all that! At least in the engineering world it was acceptable to wear jeans and T shirt & boiler suit.

@EZLorenzImagery We do have them in zoos and the like. I saw a couple in Canada when I was there a year ago, or maybe Alaska, one of the two! Beautiful birds.

In the 1980s, 1982 I think, I took a YTS evaluation as a commercial air diver at Fort Bovisand dive school to see if I was suitable for the full course. Of 20 people on the evaluation, including currently working divers, I was the only one to pass! However, the medical exam failed me because I have hay fever!

Hay fever? Under 50m of water? What the actual f2k? 😳

I questioned their decision and was still failed on medical grounds.

A work colleague from my days in Aberdeen District Council, Ian Coulton, was an actual F4 pilot and flew in the Falklands.

I can't comment. I drove a Honda VFR750 at the time! A motorbike. I can imagine crane drivers, or digger drivers, being good though. Possible even better at helicopter piloting?

Good morning fellow Mastos and hello Sunday. A day of rest? Not for me. We are seeing Saint David this morning and walking Wesley. Then, later, I'm going under the bath! As our house has been sold, it is now rebelling against us. The bath is leaking! Also the new boiler but that the plumber's problem!

I have to work in the space beneath the bath in image 1, while attempting to fix a leak from the plug at the far end of image 2. I may be gone some time!

So, progress. I filled the bath this AM and noted where exactly the leak was coming from. Drip. Drip. Drip. No longer a flood as before but repair attempt 1 had obviously not been a success.

This PM, I managed to strip it all out and redo it with another new O ring. A quick test and it's looking good. Well know for sure after bath time tonight.

Fingers crossed, like my eyes!

@PetraPanda @Melissabeartrix @MorpheusB Le Cruset are indeed expensive but good pans. As they are cast iron, they will work on induction hobs, but....

The heat should be turned up gradually to get to the required temperature as there is a chance of cast iron pans cracking.

Consuming vast amounts of water as we teeter on climate disaster is not progress.

Consolidating wealth to a few who are the ones dumping space trash, stealing women’s voices, taking data without consent and depleting precious water resources is not progress.

Government that protects those wealthy few is #NotProgress.
