Long night so far.

A call from my sister just after midnight that she’d taken mum to the hospital.

Been holding bedside vigil while sister goes home and gets some sleep. Doctors running tests and whatnot. Morphine for the pain. Machines that go “bing”.

It’s about 4:30am and mum’s snoring with a plethora of tubes and wires.

Eyes are heavy. Chair is uncomfortable. The nurses showed me where I could make a cup of coffee for myself.

There's lot of discussion about Threads.net and its impact on the fediverse. Here are two quick points I'd like to make in response to queries I've received.

  1. I'm aware that users are unable to post links to mas.to on Instagram. This may be due to website reputation rankings rather than any malfeasance on their part. Maybe!

  2. Some time ago we blocked Threads as a precautionary measure. We will monitor the situation and review as required.

The first skirmish between the Wagner and units of the Russian Guard has just taken place on the Rostov-Moscow highway, - RosSMI.

The National Guard fled, leaving their weapons and several armored personnel carriers, and the Wagnerist column took the eqipment and continued to move towards Moscow.
