@JoscelynTransient This all tracks pretty well to me. I think the mummy problem comes with what version of mummy we're talking about. Classic wrapped up? Hard to say. Brendan Frasier movie? Everything fucks.

Clearly more research needs to be done! :)

18 April: How important is social media in promoting your work?

I do get the occasional sale without promotion but I see an increase whenever I'm posting a link online. This was very noticable before the social media diaspora when I was very active on . Nowadays is my main platform and I think some of you guys bought a book and became patrons of my work? But since Mastodon doesn't show up in analytics I just don't know 😂

@AimeeMaroux I haven't done any real promoting on social media in a while, but when I did, I didn't really see a noticeable bump. I figure that's on me though. I'm not really working social media all the time to build an audience.

@AimeeMaroux This is part of my angst. I try to be sort of historically accurate, but if the story or character wants something anachronistic, I'm totally game of it. Hair just about anywhere can be sexy, but I think it's not always worth mentioning.

@RickiTarr First time I went to college it was for a theater major. I was taking classes, working on set construction (carpentry and electrics), performing (or rehearsing) on stage, and sometimes working at the local community theater. Never got that theater degree, but dang, I worked like a dog. It was a real struggle, but my memories of that time are nothing but love.
