I'm far too tired to cook dinner today. I ordered delivery food from Ferris' downtown. Got their bouillabaisse - local fishes, shellfish, tomato fennel broth, parsley, saffron aioli & fingerling potatoes. They usually deliver a good sized serving - I usually have enough for a late night leftovers snack.

Every box of beans I order from Backporch Roasters comes with a handwritten note that reads “I hope this coffee finds you well” and I receive this wish with a sincere belief in its earnestness because instead of an email they sent me my favorite coffee beans and I will hear nothing against them

So granted, I’m coming down from a fever, but I feel increasingly committed to the idea that the hollowness and repulsiveness at least some people identify in prompt-generated art is the opposite number of the species of thing Christopher Alexander considered most central, and I mean that in the most rigorous and least woozy way.

So, as far as I understand, mastodon social implements some of the beta features that are not fully rolled out. How am I to give feedback on them? (Preferably without actually activating my super old unused github account - FYI, yes, I know how to use git but work on a local gitlab installation).

Because I'm really unhappy about the way the replies work in the browser on mobile (I need to see the whole post I reply to, not just the first few lines!)

@vicgrinberg My understanding (which is not great) is that the "client" refers to the web interface. I think tagging the app would get the attention of some of the developers and they would pass on your concern to the right people. Neither of those tags gets a lot of traffic so you wouldn't be polluting tag space much.

You could also tag the <at> Mastodon account, perhaps?

@vicgrinberg Hmmm. So Elk (and the other web clients) access the underlying data differently than the standard web interface? That would seem strange to me, but entirely possible. I would think that the "standard web interface" would really be the "standard web client."

From the relatively-generic ios developer page (after a quick search) "...in fact, our web client is just an API client that runs in the browser." That suggests the client tag is appropriate.

I have been so at recently. It seems that everyone is getting ready for a and people want to clear their task lists. What else? My got a diagnosis yesterday, so now both of my parents have . 🥺 I will spend Christmas with them in my home village. My father lives in a sheltered home, and my mother lives alone. ♥️ 🫶

Tempting to use but I can't. on the near Upper Marlboro, , USA. It was near high tide so the water was still. The sky was gray to start but it turned into a dazzling sunset.....

Sycamores (?) on the shoreline of still water glow yellow and orange (with bright white trunks) in the light of the setting sun and reflect in still water. At the bottom of the photo the green bow of a kayak reveals the photographers methods...
Bright sunset clouds are reflected in still water below a dark line of land with scrubby trees. The surface of the water is mirror-like except for ripples emerging from the green bow of a kayak.
Lines of cloud glow yellow and red in an enormous and startlingly blue sky during the last moments of sunset. A screen of dark, bare trees and a dark band of shoreline obscure while highlighting the sunset behind.

@jimfl @KissAnne Some of my favorite trips were in light rain. Heavy rain, particularly thunderstorms, are not something I would recommend. Bummer about the canceled trip though @KissAnne
