    Does anyone else think that there's more of a difference between 1955 & 1985 than there is between 1994 & 2024?
    Like 1955 no satellites to 1985 landed on moon & a couple of planets.
    1994, we had mobile phones & internet.
    2024, we've got mobile phones & faster internet....?

    Does anyone know of a way to buy an EV that doesn't relentlessly spy on the driver/passengers and send the data to whoever the carmaker feels like selling it to?

    Related: Does anyone know of a service in the Bay Area that will disable all the surveillance that was, without my knowledge or permission, built into a 2008 Prius?

    1. By 2025 the World Bank will have introduced a global cashless society and it will track what we spend and not allow us to buy certain stuff. The only way to beat this is to use Bitcoin.

    2. Don't buy an EV. The batteries only last 7 years and you will have to junk the whole car because of the replacement cost.

    There was a time, not 'too' far back when they put on a music festival in Brisbane just to encourage people to enrol to vote.
    The lineup wasn't too bad either.
