    In more random adventures in forced home remodeling: our Good: kitchen is wired for 220V! (apparently built in the 1970's war between electric and gas). Can put in an induction range/stove if we want!

    @ai6yr I would go so far as to say that your stove SHOULD NOT have WiFi, because things with WiFi can be hacked from a distance, and I do not want that to happen to a source of heat inside my house!

    @SrRochardBunson One time decades ago I was walking with friends and a date in Greenwich Village and we passed a trashcan with what looked like debris from a carnival float. "Look," my date said, "stars on sticks." I took one look at the 5 pointed glitter encrusted stars atop 2 foot long dowels and said to her "Those are f*cking MAGIC WANDS!" My friends and I all rushed over and took one each. After that we were Fairies On A Mission. 🧚‍♂️🌟😎👍

The last time I used it recently, it installed a version of a Signal fork that froze on launch and lost my entire message history, and now trying to use it to get Fedilab all I get is repeated crashes from F-Droid itself...

    I have made many friends this way.

    The difference is, they were right. And I guess most of them weren't smug pricks; but a couple were, and we still hit it off fine, because they were right.

    I absolutely fucking insist that if you're going to mansplain fascism and geopolitics to a woman who has forgotten more than you will ever know, about either subject, you be correct.
