Het enige probleem is dat het op een gegeven zo koud en nat wordt hier, dat er geen voedsel meer verbouwd kan worden, en dan gaan we natuurlijk alsnog dood. Maar goed, tot die tijd in ieder geval niet te veel van die verlammende en migraine-triggerende hitte.

On the lookout for a -66 rig to add to my collection for some MS-DOS nostalgia. Still have my old I'd like to stick in it. You'd think there'd be many of these machines out there, but I'm finding it hard to find one locally. I guess I'll be getting one from Eastern Europe via ebay...

I feel absolutely awful this morning and Tom isn’t being very sympathetic. He is saying stuff like, “Right, you’ve got to push on through and do things, build your mental resilience.” TBH that makes me feel like he thinks it’s my own fault for not being “resilient enough”. I feel like he is running out of patience with me

@purplepadma He might just be having a bad day himself, not mean any harm. I, at least, tend to project my own situation as causing behaviour in others, sometimes forgetting that they themselves have rich inner behaviours and situations and stuff they're dealing with that affects their behaviour. I'm sure he means well!

I’ve got myself into the bath but now I can’t make myself wash, so ridiculous and pointless. It’s the same every time I get depressed, basic hygiene becomes too much.

@purplepadma From the sound of it, you're going deeper than me. I'm mostly drowning in a sea of apathy, disinterested in anything. Even opening mastodon feels like a pointless chore. We had snow last week, that usually cheers me up, but nothing.

Affinity has been bought by Canva, to compete with Adobe.

It was of course a matter of time before Affinity would outgrow its status of sympathetic small-scale Adobe alternative, and be sold for large proceeds.

Canva is into AI. Hopefully Affinity will get some useful AI-powered image processing tools, like upscalers and denoisers, but Canva will probably add generative shit and introduce subscriptions sooner or later.

OK so it’s almost 4pm. I’m tired. My main options are a) take a short walk to buy some chocolate b) have a bath then get changed into loungewear for the evening c) nap (although it’s probably too late in the day not to affect my sleep tonight). Idk what else I can do

Well, that's another three days of my life wasted thanks to . Meanwhile, the health center referred me to the neurologist, who referred me back to the health center, who then proceeded to refer me to the neurologist, who again referred me back to the health center. Oh, and both parties barely communicate, nor do they ask me anything.

Now found a clinic specialising in , let's hope they actually understand migraine.

Just spent at least two hours deleting all of my work from Tumblr, before their AI scraping shit hits the fan, although it's probably too late. In that case, the deletion functions as a gesture of protest.

This shameless large-scale intellectual property theft by greedy tech business assholes everywhere is starting to make the internet pretty annoying. 😖

Oh FFS the anxiety is creeping in already. It’s been such a good day. It always starts with a horrible feeling in my chest before I feel anything mentally, and only after the sense of anxiety has overwhelmed me do I start having anxious thoughts. CBT is not going to work for this

I'm trying my hand at some DOS size coding instead. It's been ages since I did 8086 asm, but it's coming back quickly!
