What name do you like best for a non-profit community for Ham Radio? Think Apache incubator but for Ham plus other open-source services and resources for the community.

FYI I have both the dot com and dot org as well as the hyphenated and non hyphenated versions of the below. Please mention which variant you prefer in comments.

The funny thing about "they didn't teach us how to do taxes!!!" is the government puts out a 100+ page instruction book every year along with the 1040 form that tells you exactly how to fill every box of that thing out.

But it involves paying attention, reading, and following instructions.

Most people don't want to do that.

Exactly, you aren't filling out 100+ pages, the reason it's that long is to answer every question you may have and cover every situation that may exist in the process of filling out the actual much shorter form.

Like if you were living in the middle of the desert with no internet or phone, with this book and the actual form you can still do your taxes. That's the idea.

Not anymore, it was discontinued in 2018 after the 1040 was redesigned to be much simpler and only take up 2 pages.

With the price increase in every single tech subscription service of today already happening or coming, I think it's high time to reconsider whether we really need all the streaming, video games, task management programs, etc.

Because I understand the rising costs of living, but some companies are being utterly rude toward their paying customers.

You don't need most of it, either the quality has turned to crap and you just keep paying for it out of habit, or you could use cutting down on it anyway.

A lot of these subscription-based things have learned from the cable TV companies that there are a lot of people out there who will keep paying for something they don't like because the habit is ingrained and they're afraid to try anything different. So they keep raising the prices knowing a lot of people will keep paying anyway.

I am so tired of UberEats and other deliver services charging me both tip and fee before delivery... screwing up my delivery, then refusing to refund me because it happens too often and they assume im just lying...

From now on i will just move to cash only deliver on UE and inspect the food, if anything is wrong i will refuse delivery.

Kinda defeats the purpose of using a no-contact service though.

This is one of the reasons my elmer always told me to tune up in CW or AM mode (FM wasn't common on radios back in his day). The more power going through the antenna path the better you can dip your SWR meter.
