I won't do business with a restaurant if they serve wings with ranch, even if I don't get the wings.

Same with the gluten free business and if they're aggressive with any vegan or vegetarian marketing.

If your coffee sucks, and I always get coffee no matter the time of day so I'll find out, I may look you over in the future for a place that has better coffee.

WOOOOOT! First contact on 80 meters on my new antenna. 3.892MHz, 290 miles (PA to west virginia).

The last antenna (same model and configuration) never worked on 80m because we never tuned the whip right... but this one everything was 59, excellent stuff!

An apology to the whole fediverse

I wanted to apologize to everyone as I’ve been rude and harsh with many of you as of late. Regardless of if it was in response to disrespect or not, that is not in line with my own moral views, it was wrong of me.

My philosophy moving forward is no matter how bad a person I may think you are, no matter how cruel or deserving it may seem you are of an attack, my options will be to respond with compassion or not at all. That said I will continue to call out bad actors in a blunt but constructive way. I will try my best that should I provide a personal criticism I do so with a tone of respect and kindness.

While I can say the recent change have been due to some pretty monumental stress and life changes I’ve been dealing with (a physical assault and death threat from the Israeli Mob), that does not make me any less accountable. But I do want people to know why.

My deepest apologies to anyone effected, both on and off. I will try better to be more compassionate in my words and actions moving forward and should anyone feel I fail to do that I welcome you to point me back to this post.

It really amazes me how many people on the left actually think Biden's extremely racist history as a politician during the start of his career was "debunked" and all "lies".... they believe this despite the fact that he actively faught to keep segregation alive int he senate. His words are publicly recorded, certified, and verified for all to see. His racist comments are a matter of public record, undeniable.... yet almost every single time I post an actual racist quote atleast a few from the left claim it isnt real, or it was debunked.

In fact, even when I post links to the word-for-word transcript clearly showing biden saying very racist things... STILL, I get responses from the left screaming at me for spreading "misinformation". Despite the proof right there in the same breath... They literally are so enraged I dare to share this clearly proven misinformation they will call me names sure... but more importantly they make sure they are very quick to block just so I dont have the chance to point out the very clear evidence right in front of their faces....

Its sad. Literally quoting Biden with context is enough to enrage the left and get blocked. Its funny how they can block you for quoting biden yet somehow be ok with biden.

inb4: Yes Trumpeters do this too... and yes I dont like them anymore for it than the left. Do not assume just cause the left are pieces of shit that I give the right a pass. As far as Im concerned the left and the right are on the same moral high ground as far as this goes.

Buy Kester 44 solder. The best on the planet. I used to think soldering was hard until I found that magical solder, it became so easy even with crappy equipment.

I like something around .025" or .031" for typical circuit board work personally. For larger joints (E.G. laying a bead of solder to secure the tab of a TO-220) and cable work I like .050".

You can buy it in 1# spools from Digi-key and Mouser. It costs more than other solders, but the quality is more than worth it.

I just witnessed Hawaii's Lt. Governor on ABC News Now state the only communications available in fire areas are satellite phones. I'm dismayed & shocked that some elected officials are clueless the beneficial role plays during disaster events. I've been fortunate to have assisted in several disaster situations. Makes me PROUD to be an AMATEUR RADIO OPERFATOR.

And since 9/11, requirements have become tighter and more comprehensive. Governments have invested more in their own emergency communications systems or enhanced existing ones. From my observation, many "EmComm" groups just pretend that they're gonna save the day and aren't prepared to meet modern standards. They want to be superheroes, not parts of a solution. But they won't be superheroes when the time comes, they'll be in the way and hinder efforts from proper authorities.

I don't use software or traditional binder for logging but a small notebook simply because I make many notes i.e. (Solar Data, Antenna & Rig used, key used, etc) & use index cards of frequent fliers (Hunters) my sites,and club member numbers.

I thought I was the only one who logged using blank sheets. Every other solution has been too rigid for me, especially those computer logging programs that it seems everybody thinks are an absolute requirement. Sure, sometimes I log as if I were filling in a spreadsheet, but most of the time I like to take lots of notes!

Took these again for shits and gigs. It reminded me why I dislike quizzes like this, the questions always kinda suck Or are like "um, what?"and I always wish there were more choices. A lot of them I'm like "um, let the individual/the market decide that, not me." lol

And I remember one time I took a strictly leftist-oriented one for shits and gigs too. It said "utopian socialist" but when you looked at the graphs it was basically "Fuck the environment, build a shitload of factories."
