So at 11:00 a.m. ET, #Trump posts on Truth Social calling Judge Merchan's courtroom a "kangaroo court" and calling on Merchan to recuse himself. Trump also assails the gag order, (falsely) claiming that he cannot defend himself.

I'm not sure how much of Tesla's sales dropoff is due to competition from China vs Musk alienating his primary customer base vs the decline of Tesla's service departments.
Fortunately there are alternatives now since plenty of other companies are finally making decent electric vehicles (just not producing them quickly enough).

@atocci@arstechnica It's just that fire goes to all the extra effort to limit customization. For example their photo 'screensaver' shows advertisements in addition to photos, and there's not an obvious way to disable those ads. It seems fire TV is riddled with this kind of stuff.

@GottaLaff@spocko I think it's also intended to appeal to Trumps supporters. For Trump the legal process is another tool for demagoguery. He thinks he can lose in court but still incite enough vitriol to gain power or wreak chaos if he doesn't.

When astronauts return to the Moon in a few years, they'll target the south pole, which contains vast amounts of water ice. A future lunar station would be set up in the permanently lit regions of the Moon, with astronauts walking into the shadowed regions to explore the ice deposits. A new research paper has examined the terrain around the South Pole and designed walking routes allowing astronauts to explore the region as efficiently and safely as possible.
@fraser In the paper I saw mention of massifs that were illuminated 85% of the time, though I may have missed mention of other areas. That's may be close enough to permanent for a lunar station. Pretty cool stuff.
