Noch 62 Tage bis zum nächsten globalen #Klimastreik und ich mache nun jeden Tag Werbung dafür.

Irgendwie habe ich meine Kollegin, die schon mehrmals mit beim Streik war, erst jetzt auf den 15.9. angesprochen. Sie kannte den Termin noch nicht.

Wenn selbst die langjährigen Demo-Teilnehmenden noch nichts mitbekommen haben, ist noch viel Luft nach oben. Sprecht euer Umfeld an!

The indebted Thaco Armorclass finally overcame Ornstein and Smough thanks to jolly cooperation!

This was my first time playing co-op in #DarkSouls. I had intended to summon Solaire but I hadn't killed the Royal Sentinels. I was dodging and weaving and I clicked whatever was the first sign I saw before diving into the fog wall.

Having someone there to draw aggro made the first phase much easier, and I could have killed Ornstein myself... but my co-op partner finished Smough first. And I certainly would never have survived Super-Ornstein without them to carry me!

It was all adrenaline panic, and it wasn't until it was over that I realized that I didn't catch the other player's name! To whomever you were that assisted poor Thaco Armorclass, thank you!

I 100% support the writer's strike... but looking over the details here the proposal for actors is even worse, positively dystopian levels.

One day's pay to be body and face scanned, then your likeness used in any projects in perpetuity with no consent and no residuals.

No real actor means no hair & makeup, no wardrobe, no assistants.

I know not everyone agrees that #optout #telemetry is a dark pattern, but you might agree with me about this one after you see it documented:

Enlightening, isn't it? There are other empty blocks, but they are either fairly standard or are described elsewhere in the document.

If you are familiar with #helm, you won't despair because you have the power of analytics.enabled: false. That works on the rest of this chart and is the standard way to en/disable things.

It doesn't work that way.

Let me save you some time with the terrible new #github code search. Here is the actual syntax:
"analytics.reporting_enabled: false"

This was caught by #adguard and enforced by an egress #networkpolicy

Is the best way to run periodic functions, not necessary time-critical, just needs to happen in the correct hour or day, #cronjobs

I am running a #Python bot in a #Docker container, but want weekly or daily things to happen. Adding this to the main loop seems inefficient, because checks will unnecessary be done.

Should I rather use a #Linux image, run the script in the container and then just have cronjobs running in the container, rather than using a Python image.

Storage, memory and processing isn't actually a problem, so using a larger and beefier image is possible.

I believe that combat in a TTRPG should always be optional.

Maybe the party talks their way out of it, maybe they sneak their way out of it, maybe the other side just doesn't feel like fighting right now.

Whatever the reason, even when swords are drawn there should be an alternative course of action available to the players.

Combat should be a CHOICE, not a forgone conclusion.

Agree?

The absolute worst part of starting something new, in my opinion.

Distaste for making introductions aside, I'm Naithin! I barely eke into the Millennial category but still game a fair bit as time allows, and I author the 'Time to Loot' blog. As the name perhaps suggests, I love a good loot game.

...

But also city builders. And RPGs. And FPS. And... well, you get the point.

but for those of you who don’t know, the conditions in TAG (the animation guild) are even worse. @susanlbridges and I wrote SIX TAG-covered animated episodes in a year, and it wasn’t enough to cover even HALF a year’s rent… BEFORE TAXES

Don't worry: I will not be leaving GitHub. The majority of Firefly III users know and love GitHub and it's the place where most of the community lives.

Wir (Ich, @HackyScientress und ein paar Leute) planen da was für's #cccamp23. Wir haben >200m Gleis in Spur G verfügbar und diverses Lok- und Wagenmaterial. Wie viel wir damit machen werden, wissen wir noch nicht, denn wir sind spät dran und was uns fehlt sind Leute mit Erfahrung mit der Thematik/Software und Zeit+Bock damit was zu machen.
