@Migueldeicaza My biggest issue with them is that you can't deal with both nullable generic classes and structures. I suppose that's better in Swift.

@khalidabuhakmeh Yeah, but at the end of the day it will suffer cons like any cross-platform solution. I'm really not a fan of cross-platform, especially UI and not mobile-desktop.

Israeli forces have penetrated the Gaza border more than three kilometers deep and are pushing along the coast.

This is way too far for my taste to be just a probing attack or raid. This seems to be first permanent armored thrust into terrorist-controlled Gaza, but it is highly unlikely that this will be the only charge.

The Israeli military has begun the ground invasion of Gaza—even if, like Vladimir Putin, Benjamin Netanyahu prefers to use some other term to describe it. This catastrophic decision will result in the slaughter of unthinkable numbers of Palestinians while further endangering everyone throughout the region.

Two decades ago, the United States military invaded Afghanistan and Iraq, blindly seeking revenge for the attacks of September 11, 2001. The occupations of those countries cost nearly a million lives, driving many more people to join the jihadists. The subsequent rise of the Islamic State showed that the invasions had only strengthened the forces that the invaders claimed to be attacking. When the Taliban recaptured Afghanistan in 2021, it confirmed how pointless all that carnage had been.

After decades of colonial violence and apartheid policies, the Israeli military is embarking on the same course today. We should do everything in our power to cut off the flow of military aid that is enabling them to pursue a policy of ethnic cleansing.

If the movement to stop the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq had succeeded, we would have saved countless lives and averted countless tragedies. The stakes are even higher today.

@po3mah Mah, ni bistveno bolje. :) Vrtci? Osnovne šole? Pa tudi redke so šole, ki dejansko potrebujejo računala za kaj uporabnega. Sploh pa ne prenosnikov.

@dvladar @po3mah Glede sistema se popolnoma strinjam. Osnovna šola bi morala učiti osnove računalništa, računalniki niti niso nujno potrebni, vsaj na začetku ne. Oblikovanje dokumentov je pa čisto svoje poglavje, kjer bi se najprej morali spet učiti ... osnove, ne kuckanje po Wordu.

Here are my guesses as to why various and accounts have essentially gone dormant on :

  1. Not enough followers and/or not enough engagement (likes, boosts) to make it worth posting
  2. Uploading videos and pictures is often error prone (see @Tendar)
  3. No ability to quote post
  4. Creating threads and how they are displayed in the main timeline is pretty lackluster (see @ChrisO_wiki)
  5. Difficult to search for meaningful content (before Mastodon v4.2 rolled out)

@po3mah @drfilomena @bostjanlaba To s ščitenjem trga je tako, tako. Če pustiš in ne ščitiš, imaš konkurenco, ki ji težko konkuriraš, ker imajo oni slabše razmere za delavce. In potem ti gredo podjetja propast in si še bolj odvisen od njih.

Not only are C#'s System.Drawing functions slow as fuck, they are also not thread-safe.

And instead of letting you multithread it anyway like any good programming language would, it throws an exception as soon as you access anything even remotely related to System.Drawing from more than one thread. Even if you're just reading it.

I hate it.

Finally built a proof of concept soil moisture IoT (#ESP32, battery powered) that communicates through #LoRa to my private receiver. Now to another step which is building a waterproof case .. using my #Prusa 3D printer.
